PSG launched 60m bid for SMS.
Apparently they rate him higher than top elite "world class" Icardi.

    5+57 = 62 last I checked.

Anyway, not sure why I'm bothering replying to someone who doesn't view Icardi and Milinkovic-Savic as world class players. PSG are lucky if they have both of these guys along with Mbappe, Verratti and Neymar.

Neymar & PSG copying Haaland's celebration reminded me of it a few months back. Marcelo did something similar to Cata Diaz in a match against Getafe years ago too.

I've always hated people who gloat or goad others. IMO one of the most classless things possible and I always thought of Kurzawa as a little prick ever since. Anyway though, since his early promise he's completely plateaued anyway. Shit player.

    Report: Tonali prefers Inter
    By Football Italia staff

Inter are reportedly in pole position to sign Brescia midfielder Sandro Tonali, who has expressed his desire to move to the Giuseppe Meazza.

Sky Sport Italia claims the Italy international, who turned 20 in May, has decided on Inter but underlines that the youngster has yet to agree on a deal with the Nerazzurri.

The broadcaster claims Inter have a ‘strategic advantage’ over the competition, as Tonali has been linked with title rivals Juventus in Serie A.

The transfer market will be different this year and Inter will have no hurry to find an agreement with Brescia, confident they will get the deal over the line on due time.

Tonali has played 23 times in Serie A this term, contributing one goal and five assists in the process, unable to help Brescia to safety.

The Rondinelle are bottom in Serie A, nine points behind 17th-placed Genoa, and travel to Fiorentina on Monday June 22 for their first match after the break
Excellent. Do it. But can we please also buy some top quality wingbacks?

    Castrovilli 'rejects Spurs & Dortmund'

Tuttomercatoweb claims Castrovilli’s breakout year for Fiorentina caught the attentions of Tottenham and Dortmund, who both offered €45m before the coronavirus pandemic.

However, the website claims he refused both proposals because he has the ‘firm intention’ of staying in Italy.

The 23-year-old has three goals and two assists in 24 games for the Viola this season and made his Italy debut in November.

He signed a new contract earlier in the season, tying him down to the Tuscans until 2024.
Was on the list but Fiorentina want to become a buyer club rather than a selling one. I bet our leadership would rather go for Chiesa, perhaps giving them Nainggolan/Dalbert + cash. Good that we move for Tonali to have him secured.

What happens when Rangnick project also fails? The guy is incredible tactican , who builds strong sides everywhere he goes. His philosophy is interesting, quick thinking, fast counterattacks, no bullshit tiki taka, 8sec and and shot on goal. But he needs alot of new signings ( but he seems to be an excellent scout and squad builder, his transfer history speaks itself)

But its Italy. All teams are defensive from the 1st minute, coaches here will find a cure to counter Rangnick imo. Bundesliga is all fast pressure, counterattacks , almost all clubs are doing that.

Rangnick is even a better sporting director than he is a coach. He built RB Leipzig from scratch. If they give him time and they let him work, he can build something really good in the long-term.

Ragnick is an excellent choice for Milan.

    The main obstacles are:
    - Adjusting to Italian football.
    - Adjusting to the cultural differences and the Italian impatience.
    - Understanding the demands of Milan fans. They are spoiled even without the success, they want big names and ambitious projects. Selling them on "hard work" isn't going to cut it. That's what you sell to Inter fans. Milanisti pretend to be luxurious and flashy.

I think he can do it as long as there's stability in the club and even better for them, if a takeover is successful by someone who will give him more funds and a level of liberty to operate.

The real advantage of getting Ragnick would be that Milan will finally have a decent coach who is also completely in sync with the Director of Sport, since he will essentially take over both roles. If given time and money, he could do well and get Milan back to top 3-4 clubs in Italy.

But Milan these days lack the patience to see out projects, just like Inter did a few years ago. If Ragnick has a poor first season, which is very possible as he will take time to adjust and build talents, will Milan have the patience to follow through?

For a club of Milans stature and expectations, sometimes the best strategy is to go after the most risk free strategy. Milan have so far been doing the opposite - hiring rookies or coaches unproven at this level (Inzaghi, Mihajlovic, Seedorf, Brocchi, Montella, Gattuso, Giampaolo, Pioli) and similar with Director of Sports (Mirabelli, Maldini, Boban, etc) and not giving them sufficient time to build a project. As a result, they have wasted 100s of millions.

If Milan have money to spend, I would hire a top coach who is proven in Serie A (eg like Allegri). If they have less money to spend, I would hire someone who has a proven track record of reaching Top 4 (eg Spalletti). And hire a quality DS and let legends like Maldini work under him. Maybe if given time Ragnick could achieve what Sabatini-Spalletti did for us, but I can also see this go wrong just like the last few projects at Milan. Leonardo almost steadied their ship in his last brief stint, but there is no cure for lack of patience.
