The idea was that we'd give them 35-40m if they stayed up and 35ish if they went down. It's a win win as they can use the 10m for Serie B and if they return, they'll have +25. They have no need of 35m in B.
He was rated at 50 mln, we bought for 35, how is it not a discount?

He was not "rated at 50 mln". You don't buy football players at the supermarket with a price tag.

Brescia would have accepted 40m and could be bargained to 30m if we were willing to pay it up front, provided they remained in Serie A. It was a good deal for both parties, since the player didn't want to move abroad and neither did the club want to sell him elsewhere.

Anyway, this was done since January. Some people didn't believe it. I guess they still don't.

They are in no rush to sell him, they have him locked until 2022 so even if he goes to Serie B next season they can still get 50m for him if the market returns. And he'll also be more helpful as a player for them in returning them to Serie A (aka more money) than he'd be as a paycheck that they won't be able to use since Serie B has spending limitations and it's harder to build a dominant squad with money alone. The only concern Cellino has is that Tonali will want to move on rather than regress to Serie B.

You know you are literally describing eriksen right ?yet conte still treated him like a little bitch and playing grandpa valero instead. Lets hope that he is a "Conte's player" so we won't be wasting 35m.

    Shots fired.

Regardless, imo, he was as much a 50M player as Belotti was a 100M player, as Barella was a 50M player, as SMS is a 130M, and so on.....

And what exactly is your question?

You think that posts says "Inter is going to spend 50m on Tonali?". Did you follow the conversation, or just isolated something as you believe it shows something that's not there?

Do you not understand that this out of context quote is merely showing an example of why a club like Brescia that does not make a living out of transfers would not behave like a club that does? Or how that was a figurative amount, because that was the amount discussed in the previous posts about other players?

Well I read the whole conversation. You laughed that we sold Icardi for 50 mln like there is no covid.

Your post presumes that his price is 50 mln and Brescia can still get that money even if they go to serie B, yet now when we managed signing him for 35 mln you say it is not a discounted price.

Nope, I just replied to someone who talked about Tonali and 50 saying that Brescia is not part of the transfer system. That was the Icardi thread...

I'm pretty sure if you dig my posts you would see that I mentioned that we have reached an agreement in principle since winter and I probably also have mentioned that it probably won't be over 40m.

Me too. I havenít seen what I saw from barella at Cagliari for example.
Iím a little worried of how much playing time he would get.

I honestly would have rather spend the money on Van De Beek.... but with Ajax we canít do no loan with obligation and deferred payments and shit.

I’d rather imagine something like Tonali - Ndidi - Barella midfield

its an obvious assumption, to be honest, not unreasonable at all. Cafe found a KPMG I think report which showed all the scenarios for FFP - unconditional obligations are booked as if a perm transfer

I've read FFP rules, which are posted on uefa's website. It is clear as day that loan obligations are treated the same as purchases under FFP.
