Discussion about Inter @ mIRC

Dunno if this is the right place to ask but what the heck..

I and some other Inter fans got a discussion-channel @ Quakenet, daily theres about 20 people idling and talking about rumours& other stuff concerning Inter and football overall. It would be nice to have this Forums ppl discussing there with us.

To people who dont know what mIRC is about, its like a virtual meeting place, you download the client of mIRC to your channel, install it, and join a channel for example #inter. You just write down a line what you would like to say to people and create conversations.

With all due respect, I know here are a lot of writers who could make the channel we got more active and could challenge other footballclubs fanchannels, #arsenal has over 70 daily fans at their channel. I envy them and hope we could have bigger amout on ppl having a nice little chat for example while listening matchradio.

If somebody has an interest/something to ask concerning this matter, i will gladly help.

Yeah, we could create our own Forza Inter channel for this forum, if there is great interest.

Anyway, we spend all of our time chatting on MSN, so it would be hard to get people to use a new program instead of that.

i already did it last year b4 i joining this board..damn..and there was only 4-5 ppl in there...very shameful for the inter fan....we must show our support to our inter...forza inter!

So any idea in this? This forum is huge, we could easily do that channel. Somebody has surely knowledge for doing it. We all could be in conversations in irc without annoying multiconvs in msn. Being silent member is easy. This would surely unite us.

Well I used to know how to create a channel, be an "op" or "super of" of a channel and how to ban members but now, I'm totally clueless.

If there are still mIRC experts, I don't see why not. Until then, I'll just create an informal channel called #inter in IRC server "IRCHighway" every now and then. Feel free to drop by.

i have over 5 years of experience with damn mirc for various reasons, it isnt a bad idea.

Which IRC network will you make it on? Efnet is a nice one

Guys, in order to create the channel, we have to first register it with an established IRC network; Undernet or Dalnet come to mind. This is to ensure proper administration and moderation of the channel at all times.

With that in mind, where do we want to register this channel at? Please throw some suggestions forth, and we will consider them accordingly.

As for the Channel name, I suggest Forza-Inter.

Let's get this started. It's long overdue now!

For those who are unsure about the process of connecting to servers and such, here's a little primer -

1) Download the program mIRC.
2) Once the program is installed and running, type this in the main window - /server irc.irchighway.net.
3) Once you are connected, a popup appears asking which channel you would like to join. Proceed to type Forza-Inter.com and you will be connected to our channel.

I havent got a clue as to how to use that mirc stuff. Really complicated.
BTW, I suggest you call it Internazionale, cause it makes Inter sound so beautiful.
