we're already in semi-final so i couldnt care less what sort of tactic Conte would implement. i would accept an ultra defensive approach so long it can pave our way to the final.
    shape of inter to come

Conte is going to do what's been working: corrupt the quality of football with gagliardini, score a goal, let the opposition control 45' - 65', sub eriksen, and go for the kill as Shakhtar gets desperate.

    Respect, but not fear.

Lets be realistic here. Shahtar is no barca or liverpool in terms of offensive power. If that was the case, we would need a world class defense to overcome it like we did in 2010.

So I'm not that worried. Our defense overcame Atalanta, napoli and bayer and I doubt shakhtar is better than them.

And since we play great recently against attacking teams, then it's just a question whether our defense is stronger, than the offense of the opponent that we cannot contain. I don't believe that's the case here.

Form relies on the opponents you play against. If you have a team crushing in some low level league winning 50 games straight with 3.7 goal per game ratio, it will mean squat when you meet Inter 2010.

We looked really tired at the end of Bayer's match. That could have a negative impact against Shakhtar.

We have a full week off so I definitely don’t want to hear that as an excuse

That doesn't matter so much as we finished the season recently and had games in EL. Atalanta had much more rest before PSG's clash but still looked not in their usual form.
I don't follow the Ukrainian league but i think Shakhtor are more fresh and this could be decisive in the ending minutes.

I think this is Lautaro's 90 minutes with goals.

Yes and you're basing your argument on facing Gattuso's Napoli, an Atalanta without Ilicic that's the engine of their team and a very tired Papu Gomez and a Leverkusen side that looks nothing like the pre-covid team.

So maybe you should re evaluate this.

P.S. A team with similar characteristics played against Inter in 2010. Quarters, CSKA Moskva. Wasn't easy...
Also, Dynamo Kyiv, also not easy at all during the groups.

Don't underestimate teams and stop overestimating ours.

And you are underrating our achievements again. And to be fair, it's the EL semifinal. Ofc the team we are facing is dangerous. That's kinda the point of tournaments. The further you go, the tougher it gets.

I'm on your side of the argument in this, but I kinda dislike how you are writing this like "oh it was so ez on our side with our opponents". We are finally showing some balls, even if it's in the inferior European competition. Why downplay that?

juve get around 40 milllions more than us from UCL,
which we can get the same amount if we win EL

show how much difference of EL and CL,
if the season isnt over already i doubt we would put anything into EL

This feels like one of those games where everyone underestimates the underdog and we get burned badly. I hope we prepare ourselves with the right mentality for this match.
