I partially agree. It sucks we get punished, but in the end the point is we also can’t use this as the main excuse. You know what I mean? As someone else said above, if we really need to rely on a penalty to beat Parma well...

This is heartbreaking. I really, really thought that we would be the team to break Juve’s streak. After two consecutive top 4 finishes, we greatly improved last season, finishing 2nd and reaching the EL final... I kinda feel like everything is in place, yet we still suck. Most of the big signings the last year has been MASSIVE flops... Radja and Eriksen...Handanovic is finished..

The absolutely worst part of it all is that Milan, our ethernal rival, a team «randomly» assembled by Maldini with zero(!!) DS experience, is going to win the scudetto, with Pioli as a coach..and a much smaller wage bill. while we have all the ingredients in place «on paper» (Strong mgmt (Marotta) + strong coach).....and still suck. They havent even qualified for CL for 8 years FFS. Everyone at Inter should be UTTERLY embarrassed of themselves. It’s simply unacceptable. I’d advice everyone to just distance themselves from the club, there’s no point in being so engaged in a club that is capable of nothing else than major dissapointments.

I also consider to distance, stop watching this crap. It was easier in banter era,we had utter shit players,no quality at all, but now..This is uber disgusting in every possible level. Conte needs to go,fuck his salary, just leave and take your one dimensional decadent 3-5-2 snoozeball...fkn Pioli and that BBilan crap team with that arrogant metuzalem Ibra are laughing at as...Fuck this shit.

Milan won't last long unless they do something drastic in the winter window.

But we are obviously in a hot mess ourselves. Our form and next 5 games:

    Inter-Milan 1-2
    Inter-Gladbach 2-2
    Genoa-Inter 0-2
    Shakhtar-Inter 0-0
    Inter-Parma 2-2
    Real Madrid-Inter ???
    Atalanta-Inter ???
    Inter-Torino ???
    Inter-Real Madrid ???
    Sassuolo-Inter ???

Is there a video about the penalty claim by Marotta?

Perisic was brought down by Balogh? I don't remember if I saw that so I would like to see it.

Realisticly we should have taken our chances when they came, and not complain about some penalty that was not called. I agree that there have been some mistakes but we had chances in every game this season to finish every team, yet we did not manage to do it.

Maybe prolonged last season and short rest took off sharpness of our players...

This Real Madrid match will really determine where the team goes from that point. A loss to Real Madrid and we'll likely be dropping out the CL and continue this dreadful form

This is also my feeling now. I didn't make it intentionally, but I just don't have any pleasure to watch it. All you said is correct. In theory we have all the prerequisite to make the jump and challange Juventus for scudetto. But somehow we made 2 steps backwards.
I had 2 such spells earlier. Aftre Lippi was sacked, I watched only 2 or 3 games that year under Tardelli. In the second year of Mazzarri the same. I found out that Mancini replaced Mazzarri after a few games. I just wasn't interested at all.
I support this team since mid '90, heck even before Moratti came. All those years, even with Calciopoli and what other dudes here claim, Juventus and Milan were just better teams, in every aspects. From top to bottom. We were the distant third, heck even Roma and Lazio had better spells.
I just hoped when Moratti and Berlu retired, with the chinese, we could emerge as a face of italian football. But it seems it was a false dream. I don't know how the hierarchy is practically structured, what kid of pretentions and deadlines the chinese are setting, but until now it doesn't work.
Sabatini was an excellent director at Roma. Everyone can google in what financial shit they were, under FFP, and how Sabatini develop that team. At Inter, it didin't work and he quit. Under Marotta Juventus became one of the best team in Europe (2 CL finals and always there with the big boys).
Maybe we need to ask ourselves. Where is the problem. Because we cannot change every 2 years maximum the sporting director and the coach and in the same time to aim to be a successfull club. It doesn't work.

It was a penalty. And the referee was well positioned. But as some pointed out, we don't need to hide our impotence behind that possible penalty.

He doesn't switch his formation, and he hasn't chosen the right defenders in mercato.

This is definitely 100% on Conte. The players have done their best including Perisic and Kolarov. It's not their normal role. They can't do any better. Conte should have a plan B when we miss key players. He clearly has only one formation which is why we lost the 2 points today.
Agreed, Conte could have done better. Everybody outside Italy knows he can only play the same way, let alone Serie A. Misplacing players and hoping he`ll get away with it is NOT the way to go.

For some reason we are useless on corners. Ranocchia what a stupid header, str8 into Sepe he should have drawn level there.

We can argue that he was trying to rotate, then he sets expectation for us to win against Real?

Rizzoli: 'Inter should've had a penalty'

Refereeing designator Nicola Rizzoli admits ‘there was a mistake’ by the referee and VAR when Inter weren’t awarded a penalty against Parma.

The incident infuriated the Nerazzurri, as Ivan Perisic seemed to be pushed over by defender Botond Balogh during the 2-2 draw on Saturday.

“There was a penalty that objectively should’ve been penalised,” Rizzoli told Sky Sport Italia.

“Undoubtedly, if the striker is first to the ball, the defender is behind him and uses his arms to pull him back, that is a penalty that ought to be punished.”

The referee waved away appeals and was in a very good position to view it, so why did the VAR not urge him to check the on-field review monitor?

“The VAR has to look for objective situations and there it is objective that the arms are over the shoulders, so prevent the striker from jumping.

“In this case, the VAR should’ve intervened. It is an individual error, I am here to give some clarity, this was an error and it should’ve been a penalty.”

Rizzoli also clarified that if the VAR urges a referee to view the on-field monitor, the protocol is to watch the replay, it is not in the decision-making process of the referee to refuse the viewing.

PS: Ref was Marco Piccinini, replacing initially designated Luca Pairetto who was injured. VAR ref = Maresca.
