    It's not a joke, he's dead.

The was because someone wanted him to coach us, and the was in sadness of his death.

    Is it really that hard?

    I think it's Karl-Heinz Rummeniggeh.

Great topic, and I had the honour of seeing Matthaus play, unfortunately not for Inter.

From my home TV in Saudi Arabia

Did you think I saw him in person? I wish I just saw him play in his haydays, and that was really lucky of me.

Lucky you man, they never used to show Inter games on TV back then. Did you catch them on Bahraini TV? I used to catch Serie A highlights from channel 55. I loved that channel, is it still around? (Thursday night Indian movie )

    LOOOOOOOOOOOL

Yeah its still on and not much has changed except its Wed night with the Indian movies.

As for Matthaues i actually first saw him on Saudi TV...Channel 3 if u recall they used to have the weeky review of SerieA.

Channel 55 then had that show on Sunday along with the EPL on Sat.Good times but i prefer these days where we get everything live and easy, damn kids dont appreciate what we went through with no Internet and live weekly SerieA

Think of that next time u whine about the internet connection

There isn't a German player like him these days. Its stupid and unfair to compare. I think it was Lothar himself who said the only German player these days who reminds him of himself, was Seb.Kehl....he's still @ Dortmund isn't he?

Kehl, yeah, he is with Borussia still. I was surprised that he chose Dortmund over Bayren after leaving Freiburg. He did well in the first season winning the league, and going to the final of the UEFA cup.

He suffered along because of the Borussia demise, I was hoping him and Metzelder move to Bremen/Schalke. But his form has been horrible, but Borussia want to extend his contract.

He didn't even make it to the confed squad, a in-form Kehl would've added defensive stability and freed Ballack to concentrate on going forward.

Lothar is one of my biggest Inter heros. I will never forget that day when he scored against Napoli at the S Siro, after we went 0-1 down, to win the match 2-1 and the 13th Scudetto for Inter.

He wasn't an easy player. He was so much of a leader that he wanted to bypass Trapattoni and make decisions in his place.

It's too bad that he left Bayern just a year before the actually won the CL, he could have been there and win the only throphy that he didn't get in his career.

I still remember when Germany played Argentina in the WC90. I think that is the first full game I watched and I just for some reason was attached to the Germans at the time. Normally I go for Argentina.

The 1990 WC clash between the Germany of Matthaus, Klinsmann and Brehme against the Holland of Van Basten, Gullit and Rjykard at the S Siro was the record attendance game for 4 years.

That record was beaten when Inter reached the Uefa Cup final in 1994 against Salisburgo, something like 82,000 spectators (including me )
