hello to all fellow nerazzurri
only just found this site tonight and thought i had better introduced myself.
my main team is sheffield wednesday for my sins, but have been following inter since the early 1990's on the back of the channel 4 coverage, saturday mornings gazzetta with james richardson and his pink paper and cup of coffee followed the next day with a live mach.
tbh, the interest dropped off a bit when channel 4 in all their wisdom decided not to continue showing the matches but was regained when eurosport started showing them again.
i am a subscriber to the calcio italia magazine which is a must read for any serie a fans in the UK and usually has an article on inter every month.
sadly, i have only ever been to one inter match which was the friendly against bolton last pre season:
the new seasons shirts are ok but do not offer much variety from the previous season which i have (blue black blue black blue rather than black blue black blue black) and the new away reminds me of parma.
i really think that this could be the season and end the wait since 1989 for lo scudetto. With some quality signings over the summer such as solari who will provide the width that kily and avdm never quite managed to despite them signing with very good reputations, pizarro offering competition for veron and stankovic and wome offering an alternative to favalli.
the real key will be to try and get samuel from real, with a back 5 of toldo, zanetti, cordoba, samuel and favalli probably being as good as anything that milan or juve could offer. the possibility of signing figo would also give obvious quality to the midfield but if he plays the defensive side will have to be remembered and not too become too an attacking midfield. as for up front, adriano and oba-oba offer real power and pace and the possible signing of di vaio from valencia giving options up front including cruz who always performs when called upon and recoba.
