    Shakhtar Donetsk - Inter

    Only 10 days to go...

One major doubt for this game is Samuel!

Will Mancini risk it without one minute played alongside Cordoba? And is Cordoba going to be fit in the first place?

    Will we see Cordoba+Sameul? Cordoba+Materazzi? Samuel+Materazzi?

I personally thing that if Cafe is fit, we'll see Cordoba+Matrix...

Too many question marks for this game. I'd say the main one is Cordoba's health. We need him or there could be trouble-a-brewing. And you bring up a valid point about Samuel. Cordoba, if ready, will need time to gel with Samuel and it could be too much of a risk to play them in an extremely vital game just 10 days from now.

The rest of the team is pretty much set, except for the other CM role, which will either be occupied by Veron or Pizarro. Decisions, decisions. Hopefully Mancio makes the right ones.

On the other hand, Gazzetta and many other sources hinted that Samuel came in time to be added to the list of players for this games. So it seems they expect him to play...

I think it might be risky to count on samuel right away, this is an important match and I think if Cordoba is Healthy it should be Cordoba and Materazzi but if Corodba isn't healthy Sameul has to play. Although I would like Samuel to get some games in before the game against Juve.

Have been trying to find when Samuel or "il muro" (as the madristas call him) last played a game. He has not been part of the Real world tour 2005 so it's safe to say he's match rusty. I thnik mancio can get him ready for the supercoppa but playing him in the CL first leg would be risky. Go with Cordoba and Matrix; Mihailovij on the bench. In midfield on current form I would play Pizzarro. We need to close this game down and take a 1-1 draw back to the Meazza.

Well said. Though Samuel is a quality player yet he needs more than 10 days to settle in. We just cant take any risks what so ever as these 2 games are way too crucial for us / our season!

Mancini is in for a bashing here. If he plays Samuel and he makes a mistake, bashing time (Why did he play him he just got there blablabla).

If he plays Matrix, and he makes a mistake... (why didn't he play Samuel, Matrix sucks blablabla).

Good point made by Frisko there. Whatever Mancini's decision is, if it doesn't work, then he's ni for some serious bashing. I personally think that Cordoba-Mihajlovic would be the starting defene against Shaktar Donetsk. .

he trained by himself while in madrid.

Im sure he will be ready, but even if his not we always have Matrix wholl put in 100%.

    Cordoba is the doubt.

Depends on how Shakhtar play and on the characteristics of their striker.

I only know Ahagowa?, the Nigerian kid. He got pace, and this means Miha-Matrix wouldn't be very good.

Where is Gamarra when you need him? Who is our man-marker after Cordoba? Samuel, Materazzi and Miha are more Sweeper-like than speedy man-marker.

Hey Hamed, missed you mate. Matuzalem is a bit threat as well.

Mihajlovic has been injured and didn't play a lot in friendly games, I expect Matrix to play. I know Samuel has been training, so he might even start... Who knows?

This is Gazzetta's "Today they would play like this" section:

This could very well be our starting line-up in Ukraine.

By the way, Gazzetta.it has changed their graphics, a big improvement from the old site, all made out of frames that was taking freakin ages to load!
