Do you listen to any Singer/Band from Italy? or maybe sings in Italian?
since my brother came to vacation here in Israel from Milano he brought me a CD with all the hottest hits of the summer in Italy.
some good song that i really liked was Laschia che io Sia (Let me be in english), and the singer is Nek, a really good singer with a great voice.
I Really think you all should try and download some songs of him.

Her new/first i think album came to stores few days ago. She“s a San Remo winner if you dont know. I recommend.

San Remo Music Festival (Festival della canzone italiana), running since 1951, is an Italian popular song contest held annually (first part of March) in San Remo. It was the inspiration for the Eurovision Song Contest.
I have few of his albums and he“s ok for my taste. He“s like italian“s own Bruce Springsteen.

My parents used to listen to Celentano when I was little, he's a bit out of date now.

Celentano will never be out of date I don't listen to too much italian music but some of my favourite celentano songs are my favourite songs period even like them more than some favourite english songs. Zucchero is pretty good and I agree Nek is like the italian justin timberlake lol. Do you like Lucio Battisti? He is also old but has some great songs and was a legend until his death. Him and Celentano our my dads favourite singers so I always heard there songs driving with my dad and I became to like them myself.
No not really a Battisti fan. Ligabue is ok.

ever hear the song Acqua Azzura, Acqua Chiara
Yeah. Celentano and Battisti are more of my parents' kind of music. You probably got across them in a different way being outside of Italy.

I don't know much Italian music but I really like those 2 artists and they are legends so I guess its not a bad choice
I Don't know, Nek is the first Italian singer which i heard a full CD of his.
So to my impression, he got a few good songs, and i don't talk about Lascha che io sia which i understood from my brother at Milano that the song is a big hit.
Im talking about calm songs like :

Angeli nel Ghetto
Una Parte di me
those songs are really beautifull and got some calm rhythem which make me love them.
and give some current singers and not some classic's and stuff, cause still, i have no roots in Italia or somthing like that, i don't want it to be weird for my taste.

I went to a wedding last night and they played so many classic italian songs it was great, I danced a special dance with my girlfriend to Umberto Tozzi-Ti Amo lol.
