Thank god no one arrived today. This is one the greatest mercato's since I got addicted many years ago.
24 or 25 players was what I wished for and that is exactly what the club have done. I may not have agreed with 1 or 2 of our tranfers but all in all I'm more than happy with the overall outcome. Our current players will now feel the confidence shown by the management.

The third lineup is more or less a depth lineup. Except for Kily and the question-mark Burdisso.

Khaled, since when is Solari a right winger and will play it at Inter? I put those lineup's as realistic as possible. Solari will play as a left winger and so will Kily.

For me, albeit the f*cking ups of XIV, Christian Vieri & Luis Figo, this has truly been the best mercato since I seriously started to follow Inter, which is on the summer of 2001. We didn't sell anyone of importance that we can't replace and we have improved the department that needs the most improvement, with the arrival of Il Muro as a central defender.

Also, not even Adriano has impressed me more than what David Pizarro has done in his first few games for Inter. I believe that as much as Mancini prefer to use that someone else in the playmaker position, he is not going to be able to keep Pizarro off the bench if the latter keep on performing this way. There will be pressure from the fans, team-mates & perhaps the management.

Great work, Branca, Orialli, Facchetti & Moratti. Just keep it up in January & next summer.

It's the best transfer market for years, since I have been an Inter fan since 1998. I also think it in this way coz I believe that we are doing what we have to and not coz what we can.

Even though I wasn't happy to have Figo earlier, but my opinions have already changed just before his arrival.

I wasn't happy with Emre's departure, so is the case with Karagouni's; but they deserved to play lot more and it wouldn't had been possible in Inter. So, best of luck to them.

Vieri - I wanted him out, but it happened in a weird way ...

I am also happy that Recoba is still in Inter and we didn't go after another striker, which we normally would have done.

Best transfer of this season for me is PIZARRO, even if Samuel's supposed to be the one. I have very high hopes on Pizarro's Inter future. He's one hell of a midfielder.

Last but not the least, I am hoping to have Burdisso back in the squad.

Well then, we should be looking for a left back for next season ... It would had been best of the best transfer market had we got a good left back as well.

    WHAT

did i just hear someone badmouthing my main man Figo?????

Did you not see his crossovers in the game against Treviso?

Did you not see what happened?

THe entire crowd erupted in a loud roar that you hear when someone scores a goal.

    Why?

Because for the first time, people realized that Inter finally had a Right Winger.

    Ohh yeah another thing

I never give importance to secondary lineups or tertiary lineups and how they pan out. Why?

Because they are never used except in Coppa games and friendlies. Most of the time there will be a mixture of the primary and secondary lineups on the field, making those diagrams moot.

I watched the game, and for minutes the crowd has been "ooooooh"-ing and then they screamed and cheered when Figo made that dribble. Why? Because that was the time that the Ascoli goal came up on the scoreboard.

And trust me on that one. It wasn't linked to Figo whatsoever. Both Inter's and Milan's fans does this when they hear that the rivals has conceded a goal, and they start "oooh"-ing and then cheer as hell when the goal finally comes up on the scoreboard at San Siro.

We had a journalist here in Sweden who wasn't attentive enough to notice this either.

Pardon my French but f*ck crossovers. The most over-rated move in football today.

Efficiency & effectiveness are the 2 things that will get you furthest in football, not some circus tricks!
