Giacinto Facchetti...one of the best players in the world during his time, inspirational leader and now our president. Need I say anymore?

I voted Bergomi, simply because he's the player who made the most appearance for us in all time. How about Giuseppe Meazza though?

    I voted J Zanetti cause I just couldn't resist

Zenga was a big temptation too, along with Bergomi. An impossible choice, really.

But there has to be reaons. I love JZ to bits - but at the end of the day, Facchetti was, is and always will be the best Captain Inter have ever had!

    Meazza...surely.
Because he made Inter. He represents Inter, like Riva represents Milan (because Riva was the player that made Milan). Meazza represents Inter because he was the player that put Inter on the map, the first true legend of the club. And IMO those players are the greatest players of all time for their team, forget who he played for afterwards, forget how many games he played...he was the first birth of Inter.

I know he was a great player, although he did play for Milan its not as if Riva played for us a little bit so it jut isnt the same.

I was about to add him in place of Zenga but i thought there would be mixed reactions and i wasnt sure if he had captained our side especially after the travelling between 2 teams

Facchetti.... the guy is Nerazzurro through and through. It's right that Meazza (great player that he was) isn't on the list. Even if he only played a couple seasons away from Inter, that's a couple seasons too many in my mind. And Milan of all teams?

Facchetti, Bergomi, Zenga and JZ are all good choices.

    I love Zenga, I truly do...but he wasn't invincible.
He was a good keeper, better than what Buffon, Casillas and Dida are today...but anyone remember some of his mistakes?? I remember I was so happy and yet so sad when he handed Argentina the victory in WC 90...he made quite a few of those.
Legend..but the only thing he had on the likes of Brehme, Matthaus, Rummenigge, Ferri and co was appearances..in terms of legacy...the are all the same.

Out of that list, I didn't vote..but if I had to..Faccetti. Biggest impact on the footballing front than any others in the list. He created the attacking fullback position.

Itís a difficult poll to start with as most of our members are very young. Hence unlike a few older members (myself inc) they have not had the chance to witness any other captain but J Zanetti.

As in, Luigi Riva? I'm not too sure about this but isn't he more renowned for his Cagliari career?

    Or maybe you meant Rivera?

Yeah I'm sure he meant Rivera. Also, if I had to pick a player that represents Milan, it'd be Maldini.

Not too sure about Juve though? Zoff or maybe that choker Del Piero?

I think what Catanha meant is that Rivera is one of the first bandiera of Milan. Perhaps he is surpassed by Baresi or Maldini but Rivera was the first few.

Hmmm, not too sure myself. Perhaps Boniperti. But surely Ceccarini. Ask Frisko, he's a part-time Juventini.

Well yeah, I can be registered in that category, but I also think JZ is a great captain, I just cant imagine anyone being more Inter then him.

Dont kill me because I say this, but I just wasnt around when Fachetti, Bergomi, Meazza, etc... played
Due to the changes in the management team, we had to adopt a new domain name !

I'd pick Facchetti. Our legend, one of our best players and also a leader who can inspire the team. It is hard to pick between Bergomi and JZ, because both is really an inter loyalist but on the 2nd I pick Bergomi, Mazzola then JZ.
