Inter ending 2005 with huge loss?

I read in a local newspaper that Inter will end 2005 with a loss of 105 million euros, while we would be paying 120 million euros for wages...

Its a newspaper that usually doesnt make things up, so I'm pretty worried... Anyone got any info on this?

Don't you think it is the debt we already had before this year cause that was about 105 million Euros. I doubt we have had a loss of 105 millions on one year.

No, I believe its of this year, they were also talking about 600.000 euros loss a day

And Moratti is about to pump 50 million euros in the club again according to the article

The fine of the Euroderby was quite a large amount and we've had to play 4 European games (2 so far) behind closed doors which is a huge loss in revenue I imagine. Thankfully we have a sugar-daddy in Moratti or we might be in big trouble.

'05 was hardly a great year for Inter on or off the pitch. Let's hope it's better in '06.

    It's Inter's huge crisis!!!

Enricos already wrote this topic but I'm again write here because anyone doesn't believe. it's really seriously situation and very important news.

    -Accord almost Italian media- (translate)

"Moratti thinks to us: mega check in order to reorganize the accounts of the Inter"

the accounts return. With the customary signorile disinvoltura that the contraddistingue, Moratti Maximum has detached from booklet two foglietti for a total of 55 million euro and the budget ofthe returned Inter e' in track.

The council of the club nerazzurro yesterday has indicated one cants of 108 million in the first semestre, with one advanced loss of 10 million regarding that one the slid year. And thus, in attended of one steered economic e' come down in field patron Moratti that, to 35 million it pours to you in the cases of the club to August, yesterday has added to others 20. The situation financial institution remains however delicate, a lot that to the council yesterday the same Moratti has made to know that the society in future dovra' to resort to the own resources.

    Publicity
In the reunion yesterday e' be fixed also the date of the next assembly of the associates, for 28 October in before and 14 November in second convocazione. Assembly that beyond approving of the accounts sara' called also rieleggere the president (verra' confirmed Facchetti), the other councilmen and the mayors. The Inter, we remember, e' controlled for 77.5% from Moratti, 17% from Pirelli(Marco Troncchetti) and 3% from the Giuliani family, while the quota remaining e' in hand to the small shareholders.

It's huge crisis!!!!! has indicated one cants of 108 million in the first semester!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! phuck!!!!! I really fear Inter also Lazio like crisis.

But I hope Inter's No.2 shareholders Troncchetti!!!! his own Telecom Italia and Pirelli(example TIM + Pirelli last year revenues over total 3,000~4,000m euro. ) p.s Massimo Moratti own Saras 2003 years this company revenues 78m euro.

I really wish next president is billionaire Marco Troncchetti!!!
Next season Messi will be Inter player.

ok, this article is in english or italian or both, i cannot make it out, but yeah i got the gist of it.!!
But i dont get it, we were always considered one of the richest clubs in serieA after milan, How can we go into a financial crisis like this, And then to compare this situation with that of lazio, GOD NO!!.

Personally, I'm not worried about our current financial status. Unlike Lazio or Roma, Inter has 2 sugardaddies as their shareholders in Massimo Moratti and Marco Tronchetti Provera. Both of them are billionaires and both of them are die-hard Interisti. If the clubs needs re-financing, I am sure that the bank wouldn't hesitate in giving granting both of them a loan of a mere (To MM & MVP) hundreds of millions of Euros.

We just need to concentrate on our problems on the field, be more cunning in transfers, sell players instead of cancelling their contracts and don't get unnecessary players like Pinilla, Carini, Choutos & Davids and we are fine.

how huge is our debt "totally". I sure don't hope it's 210 million Euros as I think it is.

We really need to do something about this, Moratti and co. can't give us money for eternities. I just don't want us to be another Fiorentina.

naa...i don't believe it.. as far as i remember, orialli(maybe other person,i don't quite remember) said that, since 2003, inter's management will always try to put the account balance in positive note since they don't want to another lazio,fiorentina... and if i'm not mistaken, he also said last year or(sorry,i dont quite remember) the balance is postive. but after this summer signings..i think maybe our trnsfer is negative(u know inter's management can easily get excited and spent a lot once they win) but if it does negative, i think it's just 10-15-20 euros.not hundreds....

I'm not really familiar with the business of the football industry, but how exactly does a football club lose hundreds of millions in a year? Aside from transfer prices, interest payments, etc, how can that happen?

For a club like Inter, i can't imagine this from happening. We earn hundreds of thousands from gate receipts every match day. We've limited our transfer spending these past couple of seasons. we've got a long standing sponsorship deal with Pirelli. The San Siro is a lucrative stadium to utilize for advertisments. I know we're not really winning anything, but how much does that affect the club financially?

I have no clue, but we bought a club , plus players, then we have wages, which has increased "or that is what I have heard" and we still pay Vieri and who knows which other former Inter player are still on our pay-roll. And with the 4 match ban in European competition which has coasted us a huge amount of money. And then I have not even mentioned the fine. But still That can mean that we have had a loss of 105 million in one year unless we are trying to buy Lazio. maybe that is Mancini's idear cause then he can just pick any of their players he want, without paying for them.

That is such a stupid and lame joke. He didn't even want any Lazio players last transfer window.

How did we lose sooooo much money? Wow. I didn't think not playing at home during the CL would burn thaaat much. Oh well, no worries, we've got Billionaires supporting the club so we'll be alright.

We shouldnt blame that fine + ticket losses for all of that loss.

I estimate that fire-on-the-pitch-episode cost us about 1-2 million euros, thats not enough to explain a 105 million euros loss...

Why is everybody so cautious for an article of a Belgian(right?) newspaper? We have like 200million euros as a club I think, Moratti and Tronchetti are our sugar daddies and our loses never exceed 20 million euros. We usually have only a couple millions losses but now without fans in CL, we'll have more for sure. More than 100 million euros it ain't possible. Nothing so expensive to spend such amount on
