I think it is Appiano Gentile? I think it's just where the players train, etc...

One day I will visit it.

Someone here can tell you more, I don't know much.

Inter Campus is a project created for children of all the world.
Inter created a lot of youth accademy, where children can play football. In italy it is based more on improving tecnique and ability of the yonug player, but in other part of the world it has a more social scope.

Here you can find more news and the location of all the camps.

    INTER CAMPUS: TEN RECORD YEARS
It was founded two months after the Bosman Ruling, which changed modern football. Founded when for the first time in football the social role of top European clubs towards youngsters and academies was discussed seriously. Ten years on from 20 February 1996, F.C. Internazionale's reply is still a shining example. In just a decade Inter Campus has achieved extraordinary things, winning recognition in Italy and worldwide, and those involved can celebrate tomorrow's 10th birthday with pride and with the awareness that their project has become a reference point, nationally and internationally, for combining the technical demands of a great club with the education and healthy growth of youngsters.

"It's rightful to thank Massimo Moratti and all his family, who strongly wanted the Inter Campus project and have always followed it with care and passion," points out F.C. Internazionale board director Ernesto Paolillo, who oversees the club's youth sector. "My thanks go also to all the people who carry the project forward every day with professionalism and dedication. Now we are working on organising the party that Inter Campus deserves and which will be the starting point for the future."

The tenth anniversary celebrations will take place over three days, from 21-23 April, and will be opened with a gala dinner at the Giuseppe Meazza stadium's executive suite. The celebrations continue with the Kellogg's national tournament finals at the Arena Civica (where Milan derbies were once played), with over 500 participating children and 400 academy and Inter Campus Village instructors. On Sunday 23 April all the Nerazzurri children will attend a morning mass in Milan cathedral, then in the afternoon there will be a parade at the Giuseppe Meazza stadium before Inter's home match against Reggina.

    Inter Campus Italy statistics:
20 February 1996: there were 22 affiliated clubs when the Inter Campus project was presented. Today there are 60.
150,000: children from affiliated clubs who have been invited to watch Inter at home.
60,000: sports kits distributed to affiliated clubs.
10,000: children who have participated in Inter Campus summer camps.
5,000: instructors who have participated in coaching courses.
4,800: official visits from affiliated clubs in the Lombardy region.
1,500: boys enrolled with affiliate clubs who have been visited and followed by Inter Youth Sector's medical staff.
700: instructors invited to watch F.C. Internazionale Youth Sector teams train.
600: visits made to affiliate clubs in Italy.
500: friendly matches played between affiliate clubs and Inter Youth Sector teams.
200: participations of Inter Youth Sector teams in tournaments organised by affiliate clubs.

    Inter Campus Worldwide:
The Inter Campus Worldwide project was set up a year after Inter Campus, and today is present in fourteen countries around the world. The project's main purpose is to combine football and the colours of Inter with the development of children in areas where social and economic difficulties are widespread. Great attention is paid to schooling and football becomes both a reward and a way of avoiding the risks of children making the wrong choices.
Inter Campus Worldwide's project in Brazil promotes education to over 4000 children every year. In Romania 400 orphans participate in educational and sporting activities with children from local communities. In Bosnia 800 Serb, Croat and Muslim children train together. And in Colombia 600 children take part in daily activities which keep them away from the dangers of narco-traffic and guerilla warfare.

    Inter Campus Worldwide statistics:
90,000: sports kits distributed to children (10,000 per year since 1997).
10,000: children who participate daily in sporting and educational activities to combat specific problems in each country, like poverty, drugs, juvenile crime, alcoholism and racism.
300: volunteers, instructors or collaborators who work alongside existing structures on local projects.
200: coaches/educators who work daily with our children on the pitch and in correlated educational activities.
60: coaches from 20 different countries who have collaborated with Inter coaches at Inter Campus summer camps.
50: children from Sarajevo who with the help of Inter Campus Worldwide have received psychotherapy for the removal of war trauma.
20: local tournaments which have involved local Inter Campus children and nearby teams.
20: teams from eight different countries who have taken part in tournaments organised by Inter Campus teams in Italy or by organisers who as friends of the project have accommodated visiting children in their families.

MILAN - Inter Campus coaches Raffaele Quaranta and Gabriele Raspelli are set to hold a ten-day training course at the project's set-up in Podbrezova, Slovakia.

Inter Campus Slovakia continues to thrive thanks to the support of local industrialist Vladimir Sotak, who has given to his fellow citizens in Podbrezova (a remote town in the Tatra mountains) a theatre, a cinema (with free entrance), a stadium and even a football team, which plays in the Slovakian football league's second division.

Inter Campus contacted the local club in Podbrezova and affiliated it to the project thanks to the interest of former Nerazzurri player Vratislav Gresko.

Maybe it is time to visit Podbrezova and take some photos...

INTER CAMPUS TOUCHES BASE IN MOROCCO
    Monday, 05 June 2006 11:57:48
MILAN - Inter Campus Worldwide responsible Massimo Seregni and coach Alberto Giacomini visited Morocco from 18 to 23 May to assess the feasibility of setting up a project in the North African country, where the quality of football is improving year after year.

Aided by charity association Soleterre, which has been working in the province of Settat for several years, Inter Campus will involve directly Moroccan top-flight team Raja Athletic Football Club from Casablanca, whose president Essowiri and managers Settati and Benené have warmly welcomed the invitation. In the start-up phase the new Inter Campus project will see the involvement of 200 children and 10 local coaches.

The M.J.I.D. Foundation, which recently established two 'Wake-up and Listen' sport centers in the Nassim and Sidi Moument districts of Casablanca to provide youth from disadvantaged social environments with training and awareness-raising activities, will also play a major part in getting the project under way.

It sounds interesting. I would be happy to see any players from our campuses in first squad soon...

INTER CAMPUS AT GLOCAL FORUM CONFERENCE
    Sunday, 02 July 2006 17:41:57
ANKARA - (Adnkronos/Aki) - At a time when the whole Italian footballing system is going through a crisis, Inter's attendance at the Glocal Forum conference is a sign that this sport can still play a positive role in society. Founded ten years ago in a shanty town on the outskirts of Rio de Janeiro following the wish of Massimo Moratti, the Inter Campus Worldwide project today involves over 12,000 children from the age of 8-14 in 15 countries. "It is a project aimed at promoting the development of youngsters, with football as a medium to carry out social work," explains Ernesto Paolillo, managing director of Inter's academy. The intention is to help children who live in straitened circumstances in villages and suburban areas. The club recruits 'coaches', who according to Paolillo "are more like social workers with technical training, who have the task of teaching the values of sport to their students. So it is not a way of looking for young footballing talent". Not only football is played in the Inter Campus centres, but the sport is used to boost the development of various development projects, including that of increasing attendance at school, which is often low, and promoting dialogue. Besides Brazil, there are currently Inter Campus centres in Israel, Palestine, Bosnia, Iran, China, Argentina, Colombia, Slovenia, Cameroon, Slovakia, Romania, Poland, Malta, Cuba, Mexico and Bulgaria.

We have our campuses in 16 countries???

INTER CAMPUS KICKS OFF SEASON IN SLOVAKIA
    Monday, 31 July 2006 13:49:56

MILAN - Inter Campus Worldwide representatives Massimo Seregni, Raffaele Quaranta, Alessio Cacciato and Alberto Giacomini held the first Inter Campus course of 2006/07 in Podbrezova, Slovakia from 16-26 July. Former Inter player Vratislav Gresko, who helped set up the Inter Campus project in Slovakia, attended the course, which was greatly appreciated by the children of all age groups who participated.

Local club and Inter Campus Slovakia sponsor ZP Podbrezova has renewed its commitment to the project for the 2006/07 season, helping to cover the expenses of the projects in less fortunate countries like Cameroon and Bosnia.
