First of all I would like to wish all of you and your families all the best for 2006. I hope this New Year brings each of you health and happiness!
As for the match today, Iam sorry but iam leaving on a business trip very soon and don't have time to write in depth today but its not really needed as the 0-0 draw against Siena was not really a football match anyway.
It was an awful match. So much so there is no point in even writing a full report since NOTHING HAPPENED!!
Inter looked very sluggish and almost not interested in playing, especially in the first half. They only turned up the tempo for a short while in the second when Stankovic had his shot saved from point blank range and niether Stankovic or Martins could tap in the shot/cross Adriano.
We only had 2-3 shots on net in the whole game!!
Other than that it was inter at walking pace for most of the match. THis is the difference and the reason why Juve win Championships. They win because they show up to every game with the same winning attitude.
Yesterday Palermo played them tough, were more vibrant and even scored first but Juve was able to come back.
Inter on the other hand today could not score against the worst defence in the league but not because Siena played great, but because Inter played awful.
All the good work in the past few games was undone with this bad performance. Winning the Derby or winning 4-0 before the christmas break now means nothing. Only thing that does matter is we are once again double digits behind Juve.
10 points are a bit much especially at the half way point of a season but lets keep faith and hope for the best.
