for a few weeks (literally just 4 weeks) a couple of years ago i worked with an australian guy. it was a farm and we also lived in the same house. he was so much into Aussie rules football or "footie" that he would drop anything he was doing during the play-off matches of the league. he kept saying how "huge" an event that was in Australia.
My username has nothing to do with the player of liverpool fc, it is a reference to an Italian novel.

I boycott and fuckn hate footy. I used to follow it but stopped when the AFL (Australian Football League) opposed Australia's bid for the World Cup because it would be played in the middle of AFL season.

I have not watched a game since and even when friends have invited me to go and watch a game live, I still refuse. Fuck AFL.

Confession: I took steps to end my self-imposed Inter exile on the weekend. I subscribed to Bein for the last weeks of the Championship with the intention of watching every remaining match (live or replay). When I woke up and saw the score, I thought "There's no way in hell I'm watching a replay of a shit 0-0 draw with relegation struggling Udinese".

Honestly, I feel embarrassed that I have such an aversion to watching my own football team. I also feel embarrassed that a team like Udinese presents such problems for us.

At least you have an excuse. I am not sure what Spalletti's excuse is other than being a fuck tard.

Maybe you just found the solution to our problems, lets make our players watch all the horrible games they played as a punishment, I mean if we fans cant take it imagine how it must feel to see your selfe just sucking dick out on the field. Nobody with even a shred of pride could watch him selfe perform like this and be ok with it.
Which matches do you feel more, those with Juventus or Milan?
"With Milan, without doubt. And I don't like the Rossoneri fans either because they have a way of behaving, particularly when they win, that I don't appreciate."

Who did you gays vote for? Thankfully I voted early to skip the horror that is election day. Best decision I've ever made. I will be voting early every year for the rest of my life.

I must say though, what a fucking sorry bunch of candidates for this election in particular. Bill Shorten, Scott Morrison, Clive Palmer, the Women's Party, Flux Party, the Together Party... I mean fuck. It's like assembling a midfield out of Joao Mario, Valero, Vecino..

Also voted early, as I'm working away this weekend. Will also be doing it from now on to skip the line.

Voted Labor in the Lower House, and a couple of central parties in the Senate. The options available were nothing short of disgraceful. One Nation, Palmer, Fred Nile. Christ...

That really was an uninspiring lineup. I also went Labor, but put the libs above the minor parties. Luckily we live a country where federal politics doesn’t decide all that much. I actually like politics being a boring and lame affair. Inspiring leaders are only good in times of crisis, but that often turns out to be disastrous anyway.

I don’t bet, but was considering putting money on the Libs. I had a feeling that people wouldn’t vote for the centre left because of the insane cultists the left is producing.

The Liberals take it. Bill the penis the Shorten simply lacks charisma.

I voted libs followed by liberal democrats, simply because I enjoyed David Leyonhjelm telling Sarah Hanson Young to stop shagging men. Me 3rd choice was labour.

I think I did end up putting Lib Dems as my top senate pick, though maybe it was Labor.

I really can't claim to know much about Australian politics. Though to me, it all seems relatively stable. Good politics tends to come from below anyway: having the population uphold the rule of law, seek evidence, be able to engage in civil discourse, maintain healthy institutions etc. Politicians can easily make a mess of things, but it's not easy for them to fix most things.

I just hope the left reflect honestly on why people are turned off by things like identity politics. I fear they'll just double down and blame the loss on "The Patriarchal Racists Fascism" that is embedded in Australian culture or some such nonsense.

I also went the Libs in second. The other choices were ridiculous. We didn't have a single independent running here either.

Labor had it in the palm of their hands but completely fucked it up... Like how Inter fucks up. The Libs have been in dissaray for quite a while. Oh well, I think keeping Libs out of state parliament is more important though.

That's funny, my friend described it as Labor stopped playing and tried to defend a 2-0 lead.

My only choices for lower house was Labour, Animal Justice, Socialist, Clive Palmer and Greens.

My friend's sister and her partner voted Labor for the first time because the Greens candidate was a white guy

I'm by no means rooting for Sydney to win this A-League Grand Final but they just got fucked by the VAR.

Around one hour ago I listened to the radio the very brief speech of (I imagine) the guy who won the election. And I must say, it sounded a bit too "yankee" to my ears: "Australia is the best country in the world" or something along these lines, and above all "god bless Australia". I wasn't expecting anything like that.

What surprised me wasn't the national pride, which I believe is a positive trait after all, rather the word choice.

Was wandering if the forum was experiencing technical difficulties. Sydney Morning Herald and some other Aus sites I was viewing seemed fine. And then I saw this:

    @Optus
We’re aware of an issue currently impacting access to international websites and gaming platforms. Our tech team are currently working on resolving this. We aim to provide an update as soon as possible. We apologise for any inconvenience.
    5:33 PM May 22, 2019

    https://mobile.twitter.com/Optus/sta...5Eserp%7Ctwgr%

As you can see Optus tweeted that out at 5:33PM, despite it being a problem (and apparently heavily reported) since at least 12

The internet in this cuntry is a fucking joke. 1st world country with 3rd world internet at premium 1st world prices. Get fucked cunts.
