There's a lot of truth to the widely-held opinion that American beers are generally watery piss, but I think Budweiser isn't as bad as people make out.

Unlike Fitzy and Duke, who go to brewery tours every weekend, and Hal, with his fucking beer garden fetish, I've never been into the whole craft beer scene. I've always liked James Squire 150 Lashes though. That is a tasty ̶b̶u̶r̶g̶e̶r̶ beer.

Speaking of watery piss though, now Korean beer is watery and foamy piss. Then again, Koreans love to mix a shot of soju with their glass of beer anyway so I guess the flavorlessness is somewhat mitigated.

As a Korean, I gotta love how much Koreans love their dipshit alcohol. Soju is cheap as fuck for a reason - because it's made from cheap ingredients and it tastes like ass. Obviously I can't rip on a country that was poor for generations for their cheap liquor. But even in the present day, Koreans take such a silly level of 'pride' and stubbornness in their alcohol, even though it's all cheap and crap.

Soju, beer, beer mixed with a soju shot etc. give me any half decent beer, any Aus wine or any whiskey which isn't Johnnie red.

I see the indy-guilt that micro breweries impose on their visitors have made their way to your wonderful people.

I'll raise a glass of my corporate beer as show of respect, cuz I everything I've tried is fucking awful.

    Hey, Puma. Hope you’re well.

I had only 30 rolls of TP left at home so I went out to my local Woolworths to punch some fat women wearing leggings and secure a couple dozen more rolls for myself.

I’m currently patrolling my local mall with an empty 1.25L Coca-Cola bottle, filling it up at every hand sanitizer station I can find.

I've got one roll left, farken. I thought to myself a couple of weeks ago... "Hmm, I'm getting a bit low", but I then thought... "Na, she'll be right mate". Anyway, I let it be, didn't I.

The aisles were empty again when I did a little general shop today, farken. People are weird.

Just use your bed linen to wipe your arse and hope that the supermarkets do not run out of washing powder.

It's over lads. Australia has gone dystopian. I've taken control of the highways and dictate the movement of toilet paper, basic necessities, food, water and fuel ! My band of road warriors are loyal to me ! If you dare to defy me, you will be thrown into the THUNDERDOME !

Have any of you guys purchased new freezers so you can hoard frozen meat at home?

No shit, present company excluded, I am so disappointed by my fellow countrymen that I wonder why I ever held them in such high esteem. So many Australians are complete fuckn idiots.

I share your frustration Puma, but I think it’s to be expected. I’m very suspicious of nationalism (or any other ideology) as it can so easily turn hateful and supremacist, but in times like this, a little bit of mild patriotism would have gone a long way. It’s hard to get the masses to sacrifice for their fellow citizens when there’s no tangible bond tying us together. There’s also no political, religious or intellectual leaders we can all get behind. I suspect social media has put an end to this for good.

Taking Britain in WW2 as an example, the entire nation including the opposition could rally behind Churchill as the empire stood alone against the Nazi threat. Once the war was won, they voted Churchill out and put in a peacetime prime minister in the form of Attlee, and that was fine. We obviously don’t have anything close to a Churchill and probably never will, but I wish a leader calling for citizens to act selflessly towards their fellow countrymen could actually carry weight again.

However well intentioned it’s been, the vague appeals to general human rights and maximum diversity have left us with little to unite under. Whether it’s the fires or the plague, it actually bemoans that we can’t put political differences aside and come together in times of crisis. And this is all from someone who wasn’t born in Australia and has never voted for the coalition.
