The best Inter you have seen

Well, not actually the best Inter, a selection of the best players at Inter actually I was watching past videos of Inter, and I just came with the idea. If everyone was at their (Inter) prime(from those that you lived...), who'd be best for Inter?

    20-squad Inter:
    Francesco Toldo
    Gianluca Pagliuca
    Javier Zanetti
    Giuseppe Bergomi
    Salvatore Fresi
    Ivan Ramiro Cordoba
    Fabio Galante
    Fabio Cannavaro
    Francesco Coco
    Youri Djorkaeff
    Diego Pablo Simeone
    Roberto Baggio
    Francesco Moriero
    Alvaro Recoba
    Vladimir Jugovic
    Belozoglu Emre
    Ronaldo
    Adriano
    Ivan Zamorano
    Christian Vieri

And a line up for these:

    ------------------------Pagliuca

    --Javier Zanetti-----Bergomi-----Cordoba----Coco

    -----------------------Simeone

    ------------Baggio------Djorkaeff----Recoba

    ----------------Ronaldo-------Vieri

Yuko's thread has been moved here from the General Inter Stuff forum.

I only regularly watch Inter from season 01/02 so here goes:

    Goalkeeper: Toldo of 02/03
    Right back: J.Zanetti of 02/03
    Central defender: Cordoba of 02/03
    Central defender: Samuel of 05/06
    Left back: Coco of 02/03
    Right midfielder: Figo of 05/06
    Central midfielder: Emre of 02/03
    Central midfielder: Cambiasso of 04/05
    Left midfielder: Stankovic of 05/06
    Striker: Vieri of 01/02
    Striker: Adriano of 04/05

Well, I guess I am sort of an oldie at least. But, I never saw Bergomi at his best. He was quite atrocious during his last season with Inter, so I sort of have a slight bad memory of him. However, that was his last season, but previous season's he was great.

    Pagliuca

    Zanetti - Cordoba - Bergomi - Georgatos

    Cauet

    Moriero - Djorkaeff - Simeone

    Ronaldo ( ) - Vieri

I wish we can find new a Djorkaeff and a new Simeone! I miss them so bad! And they were here for only 2-3 seasons

Fresi also seemed to be good when he had to replace Bergomi in 97/98, good job as a sweeper indeed.

Other names to be mentioned: Ventola 98/99, Zamorano 98/99, Winter 97/98, Coco for a short while, Kanu?, and Recoba.

I will only name players who had their prime at Inter and I also saw them play, not those who had it somewhere else and I didn't. Also, the team should be able to play.

    ----------------------Zenga-----------------------
    ---Zanetti----Bergomi------Cordoba----Brehme---
    ---------------Simeone-------Matthäus------------
    --------Djorkaeff----------------------Berti----------
    -----Zamorano/Serena---------Klinsmann/Bobo----

This lineup is simply a rough representation of the best players I have ever seen ply his trade with the Nerazzurri.

Some great names I would have chosen for the bench include -

Pagliuca, Samuel, Materazzi, Moriero, Sousa, Baggio, Ronaldo, Zamorano.

I've seen Baggio play in his late stages for Inter, and I don't know if your talking about the players perfomances stricly for Inter or abroad as well because I've seen Baggio's last seasons with Brescia and "La Grande Inter" DVD of him...sorry I just couldn't think of a better person to put but my idol.

Was not around to see Bergomi, Simeone, Djourkaeff either, but I have seen plenty of matches with them but didn't put them because I wasn't around (it's not my fault lol).

Yeah Mike and UhuhOleguer, the point is for the selection to be based upon their performances at Inter

lol, Coco just suffered yet another injury. I don't want that many Recoba in different positions. Coco might have played well few years back, but the serious injury in 03/04 really has let him down.

You shouldn't consider that as a compliment. I mean, Coco is alright compared to the Wome, Gresko, Pasquale, Serena, Helveg and God knows who else! Favalli is the only decent LB I can remember beside Coco but he's gonna stab us all in the back so f*ck him.

The only doubt I had was whether to replace Brehme with Wome. It was a VERY hard decision to make, but at the end I settled for Brehme.

    Zenga

    Brehme
    Cordoba
    Bergomi
    J zanetti

    Berti
    Matheus
    Simeone
    Djorkaef

    Zamorano
    Klinsman

I also enjoyed watching Ferri in defence and the following players in our midfield Morieo, Ince, and Winter (mainly for his work rate).

I was going to put Brehme, but he left when I was 2-3 years old

1919, Zanetti used to play at LB and MC and MR and ML That's due to the lack of quality in those sides, while there was surplus at RB He was very good at left back, for playing in a wrong position...

I put Javier as a LB, cause Angloma is much better than all the LB of Inter in the last years.
I have never seen a game of Brehme but i know he was one of the best at that moment....
