    Daniele Bonera

I think its time to add a thread conserning this player.

    http://sports.alice.it/it/cmc/calcio...cmc_96730.html

Roughly it says that we couldn't get Barzagli coz of his high asking price set by Palermo, so we decided to go with Bonera. We paid 3mil €, loan of Andreolli and renewew of Pasquale's loan deal.

He can play on centre and on right, meaning he could be a great backup for Javier and replacer of Materazzi if he leaves

The most over-rated defender in the world. Dont really know why we need him when we have Burdisso who`s similar to him. Well, at least he`s italian.

Well as said, at elast he's italian and young. Still he doesn't have anything we don't have in Burdisso. Let's see whether this goes through or not. Seems like we are willing to italianize our squad.

No way I'm gonna replace this player with Materazzi , no way .

He was also very close to juve or milan , which I don't like .

Yep. Bonera is a self-confessed Milanista.

he will be a dual replacement for Ze Maria and Materazzi ... and i think its a good deal.

    RB: JZ, Bonera
CD: Samuel, Cordoba, Burdisso, Potenza, (Bonera)
    LB: Grosso, Maxwell

the defense looks damm good to me.

I think its good enough because its still JZ-cafe-samuel-G/M, only 2 or 3 sub players changed, not different than mine.
But I think its alot better with Materazzi.

A young Italian defender is good to me. I just hope that he's behind Nico Burdisso in the depth chart, but who knows.

Supposedly, he was our second option behind Barzagli as mentioned earlier, Palermo wanted 15m for him or some ridiculous fee like that.

As long as Burdisso is the 3 defender challenging cafe for the starting spot next to samuel I don't care who we get to the 4 and 5 choice defenders. though I would prefer Inter developed players like Potenza and Andreoli for those roles.

I agree there, having Burdisso is stupid get him who is similar player, if Matrix leaves, then we should go for a tall defender (maybe we have it home... Dellafiore)

By the way i don't think that Bonera is a very special player, the only good news about him is that he is italian and he is young.... but yes, he is overrated.

Bonera wasn't half-bad for Parma during the season. He's versatile too. But I don't think we should waste money for a self-confessed Milanista. Groom Andreolli, Potenza or even Nico for God sakes!

I dont think this player really adds anything to the squad that we do not already have. The fact that he is a young Italian means nothing to me, if he does not fit the format in the team then it is basically money washed down the drain.

Yah that defence looks mighty good but I do not think it is Scudetto winning material. Especially when you have three back up CBs that are of suspect nature. Burdisso and Potenza are skillful in their own right but neither has had an extended run in the first team with any pro Italian side. Bonera is a new addtion to the side and despite his talent, the form of new players to the Inter squad is always a crap shoot. Should we see the form of Crodoba not return or an extended injury layoff for one of Samuel or Cordoba and we would be throwing these boys in at the deep end with little to no help.

In brighter news the left flank looks solid going forward but just a little suspect at the main defensive abilities.

    Official, he has joined Milan.

    From channel 4:

“But seeing as I have always been a Milan fan, I just jumped in my car without even discussing terms over the length of the contract or my salary.

oooooooh, what a heart-warming story. I wish you smacked your head on the roof of the car, but probably it was a pink convertible.

Anyway, I guess Pod (or was it Jimmy) was right when he said he is a big Milan fan

I'am glad he has signed with Milan, Stam with 40 years is better than Bonera now.
