[FOTO Thursday, 17 June 2004 15:34:36] MILAN - F.C. Internazionale communicates that an agreement has been reached for the transfer of Okan Buruk to Besiktas. The Turkish midfielder has cut short his contract with Inter by mutual consent, by signing a document (registered at the Lega Calcio offices in Milan this morning) in which he renounces his salary for the 2004/05 season, therefore permitting the club to make a significant saving.

very good ,he was a good reserve which never got enough first team action ,but did well .

Yes, I have been waiting for news of him signing with Besiktas, now it is finally official. Quite sad really but good news for Okan as he was wasted at Inter sitting on the bench game after game.

It sucks that he never got enough playing time because he's skilled and talented (watch Turkish NT games...)
Though I definately hope we soon here the departures of the likes of Farinos, Almeyda, Helveg, and Lamouchi as well.
To replace those 4 I would like to see us bring Nossa up to the full team, get Cambiasso, and perhaps Davids or another good DM.
Almeyda is good I wouldn't want us to get rid of him(unless we sign Davids)
I am very happy for Okan. He will get much more playing time in Besiktas then he will ever get it with us.
I hope Okan does very well in Turkey!!!

Okan finally leaves Emre. These guys were room mates already in Gala. If Emre doesn't leave Inter with Okan, he won't leave inter at all..

Is it so impossible for us to SELL players? For the last couple of years, we always give them away for free.
Okan is an international player, and we sure could have squeezed out some bucks for such a player.
True, Jimmy. I was surprised to read that by cancelling his contract mutually we don't make any cash by him going to Besiktas, we just save the money we were going to have to spend to pay the rest of his contract.
Sure saving cash is good but what about making it??
maybe It's a good chance for him,Okan is a great player,but he is not fit for inter.
