codecs

I have pretty much removed every codec pack that i had installed (ffdshow, k-lite, xp codec pack) as they were not working well together and have now tried to play videos and none work. I am following the web help in windows media player and installing the codecs that it tells me to but nothing seems to be working.

What codec packs would people recommend to download and use please?

Just checking through the videos that do not work and the codec that is needed is:

• Intel ITU H.264 (H264)

I have reinstalled wmp11 and the other videos seem to be working ok now.

I am using updated version of K-lite pack. It's always working well for me, and every time you download the latest version, you can find all the recent codecs there. Just choose custom installation, and install the only codecs and decoders you need.
