    Benito Carbone

Date of birth: 14 August 1971
Place of birth: Bagnara Calabra, Italy
    Height: 1.68 m
    Nickname: Benny Carbone
    Position: Striker

Okay, so apparantly he had a stint with Internazionale. Although I wasn't really into football back then. Nowadays he's signed with Sydney FC as a "guest player", being a Melbourne Victory supporter I'm keen if anyone know's anything about "Carbone". Is he a good player? What's he like etc etc?

He was played out of position at Inter. He's a genuine striker, but Hodgson played him more as a creative midfielder. He wouldn't have made it here anyway, he's not world class.

His scoring record in England is ok, but nothing to write home about. He's a player who is capable of something special every now and then, but he's never been very consistent.

I think he'll go alright in the A-League. The standard has improved on last year, so I don't think he'll dominate. He should be entertaining to watch at least, hopefully he scores plenty of goals, just not against Melbourne!
"Its one thing getting stick in places like Turin, Milan and Rome where there is a big rivalry (with Inter) but when you get called a 'son of a...' all over the country then I've obviously gone wrong somewhere" - Marco Materazzi
