    I miss Ligue 1.

Darn suburbs, you move 45 km from the city and you lose your French channels!

Anyway, Marseille is looking great. To be honest, I hope they keep Nasri and Ribery for ages; the team is great and the fans are crazy, soccer needs them back.

Lyon is great and all, but there is (as the french say) a 'je ne sais quoi' that attracts you to Marseille!

In France it really competative, all teams are on same or simmilar level. Only Lyon and now Marseille are better. It has always been very wxciting to watch French league...

Anyway, I predict that Lyon will be once again the champ...

I always had some symphaty for PSG, but they manage to fail year by year for some time now..This season is also not an exception, Monaco and Bordeaux also started slow, I believe Lyon won't have difficult task to maintain the title again..

Marseille had very strong start, I'm not sure how long will it last though..Already, they're out of European competitions, some say it's good, I believe it's rather indicator of their capabilities in general this season..

I usually don't watch French league matches often, last year I enjoyed Cup clashes though..

Me too, my sympathy to a French club is towards PSG... I don't like any French team though, I just like to see PSG winning. That is not happening much lately though...

Marseille is simply the team of the people...eventhough they cheated, but there was a whole story to it.

The reason back in the days Tapie and Marseille were funded big time, was to keep the Front National in check in Marseille. They more or less had the backing of the socialist government of that time...

And while the Lyonnais are really way too full of themselves and believe they are even bigger than Parisiens, les Marseillais are much more down to earth, although almost EVERYONE in Marseille tries to trick you.

Btw. when OM played in Vienna, I had the chance to be in the their supporters block...that was 90 amazing minutes with the fans..tablas, drums, chants, non stop. Simply amazing!!

Velodrome is the one stadium I have to make...it's just something else.

I really hope that Marseille can give some fight to Lyon in the past years the French League has lost some of it's interest, I know what this must be like in France, when a few years ago F.C. Porto won 5 Championships in a row, most of the football fans in Portugal just wanted another team to win, it almost didn't matter which one.

I disagree with Hamed, about Nasri, I hope we can get him in no more than 2 years. Marseille really has a great tradition in France (8 Championships) and in Europe, they won the Champions League in 1993 and they were runners-up in 1991, they were runners-up of the UEFA Cup in 2004 and in the past years there have been growing with 2 consecutive wins in Intertoto Cup (2005 and 2006).

You can clearly see that Marseille is getting back to a top position in France and in Europe.

Lyon is in a superb moment right now, they went to Marseille and got out with a 1-4 win, they seem to big for the French Championship and nothing out of the ordinary happens it looks like they are going to get another Championship, however there is still a long way to go.

Yesterday Lyon showed that there is no match team in France for tham. they are two classes ahead of all French teams in every regard of the team. They will be the champs again with no doubt. Marseille looked like shit to tham...

Lyon is unstoppable in France..Did anyone see that foul by Taiwo on Malouda that ended with a red card for Marseille defender? That was good enough for imprisonment..

This is after Marseille lost to Sochaux in the final of Coupe De France. The way some of these supporters and players are crying, it looks like they just lost the CL final :-P

One of the main reason why I really like Marseille is they have one of the best fans in the whole continent.
