Another hard game. Livorno is playing great this season and it would be hard to beat tham. I predict close win for us. 1-0, or maybe 2-1. But we must win, so that we play vs. Milan with high morale.

I'm going to enjoy this one because Figo won't start. He will be saved for the derby so he has enough power to make those stupid runs ending with either collision or pisspoor weak shot.

By the way and before some people start their imagining that we will run riots against Livorno I have to say that before the match starts Livorno is behind us by 3 points and they have every right to do well and pull off a surprise on Wednesday.

You have to accept that we're playing in Serie A not in FM2007 or PES6 where you can run riots in those kind of matches. Expect a tough opponent on Wednesday.

Also I expect several bench players to be used, considering that we're playing Bbilan on Saturday and then in Moscow on Tuesday.

Cordoba is suspended, Figo will be rested for sure, I would expect something like:

    JC

    Maicon Materazzi Samuel Burdisso

    Solari Zanetti Vieira Gonzales

    Cruz Recoba

Maybe this is the chance to put Recoba behind a strikers and see how will that work, olso Ibra was rested a lot this weaks(suspension) so he can play with Cruz in atack.

I think N813 is spot on. Livorno is not going to be a walk over by any means. They have been doing really well this season and are going to create a few problems for us. Their defence is their strong suit and in Amelia they have a goalie that at times can be abslutely top class.

Keeping this in mind I do remember a dominanat Inter performance against them last season at a similar point in the season. Lets hope we can replicate the 5-0 drubbing and go into the derby full of confidence.

Cordoba is suspended? best time possible to use Burdisso in his natural role, whether with Samuel or IMO with Materazzi as they should be the starting two centre backs, although it is a little harsh as Cordoba has done better recently.

Also, I'd rather Maxwell be used than Gonzalez, the new Cesar.

    Cesar
    Maicon Burdisso Samuel Maxwell
    Stankovic Vieira Dacourt Solari
    Crespo Recoba

I agree with Catanha in every point of his post. Gonzales is starting to be the new Cesar... I tought he was better than he is showing in Inter. And I also think about the attack, just maybe Recoba - Cruz would be better, coz Crespo is still not fit enough, and he will be needed for the derbie. Maybe one half will be enough for him...

    -----------------Cesar-----------------
    Maicon----Burdisso---Samuel----Maxwell
    Stankovic---Vieira-----Dacourt---Solari
    -----------Cruz---Recoba------------

What the hell? We shouldn`t rest anybody the 3 points of this game mean as much as 3 points against milan i think we`d be stupid to play a seond string squad. We don`t have Milan next we have Livorno a very very tough team to beat btw

Who said we will be playing with a second team? actully I dont think we have a first and a second team, all our players are class.

    Hope to see this formation:

    -----------------Toldo-----------------
    JZ------Matrix---------Samuel----Maxwell
    Stankovic---Vieira-----Dacourt------Solari
    -----------Crespo---Recoba-------------

It`s a hard week, we are having 4 games in less than 9 days!

    Shit doesnt happen

I wont say who would I start, I'll only say, and this is how I would pick a team for this game: Fresh players!
And ofcourse, without Cordoba,it's time for Burdisso as c.defender

Are you suggesting we get the same players to play against udinese, livorno, milan and spartak in 10 days?

    If so...

    Latest news from Gazzetta.it:

    - Recoba+Cruz likely to start up front
    - Dacourt will be rested
    - Stankovic might be rested, he's a yellow card away from suspension

These all sound like good moves to me, and my line-up above looks more and more likely.

Only rest Cordoba, Dacourt and Stankovic for the Milan game, the rest should play.

    Maicon Burdisso Samuel Grosso
    Figo JZ Viera Solari/Maxwell
    Cruz Recoba

    Milan:
    Zanetti Cordoba Matrix Grosso
    Stankovic Dacourt Viera Solari
Ibra/Recoba Crespo/Cruz (if cruz and recoba play at high level vs livorno, maybe even starters vs milan)

As far as I can remember, we have a pretty good record against Livorno. Over the last 4 Serie A games, we have drawn once but won twice. They have not scored against us on that same span but we have put 8 goals past them.

Dont know if Maxwell is fit, but if he is not, then just put Grosso in there.
