Messina - Inter (Coppa Italia) (9 Nov 06)

For some reason I won't get to see this match on TV. Too bad, since Coppa Italia is always a good moment to see some of the reserves and youngsters.

In any case, I'm hoping for this line-up:

    Toldo

    Andreolli - Burdisso - Samuel - Maxwell

    Mariano - Zanetti - Maaroufi - Solari

    Choutos - Cruz

Much point to that Slavkovski might get a chance though. Problem is central midfield and lack of options there.
I sincerely think Choutos deserves at least a chance to prove his worth.

Ribas has been scoring more then Goran, so if anyone of them deserves a go its Seba Seba.

is it the first leg or the second one? i do not follow copa italia so far. hope to see some players get starting chance, like burdisso (as dc of course), maxwell, solari, and cruz. this could be a good chance to come back for adri. also i want to see maroufi play, he is the youngster that most called up for the matches.

Nop. He played a few minutes against Ascoli remember? And theres pics of him in training so he definately will get a game here. Solari and him are front runnners.

Strange to call up Stankovic who has played a lot lately. This probably mean he will take the defensive role on the midfield.

This is another great chance for SuperCruz to extend his goal tally.

Actually, we should be playing Adriano in the Coppa matches; it's a relatively easy path back to the big stage.

God knows what's on Mancini's mind...Especially considering the fact that we have a very tough match at Ennio Tardini, where we have only won once in the history of Serie A (!), in just 3 days time.

Perhaps inter.it wrongly listed one of the Primavera midfielders as a defender/forward?

Jimmy and Han, Stankovic is suspended in the Parma-match. That's why he'll play today. After today he'll have a week rest and I don't know is Stankovic called for Serbia's friendly game vs. Norway. Don't know if he is going to play full 90 minutes on that one if he's called.

Stankovic is banned for the Parma game so that`s why he`ll prolly play in this one.

And the lack of television coverage for this match is because there`s no agreement on the tv rights for Coppa Italia.

Strange to see Mariano as a striker. But Grosso's not playing at Parma.

Excellent starting line-up, in my opinion. I hope Mariano will show his value tonight. 90 minutes for Burdisso, Maxwell and Mariano, please!
