Do note that I only started watching football in 01/02, and only avidly followed it from 02/03.
Goalkeeper: Gianluigi Buffon
Central defender: Alessandro Nesta
Full-backs: Javier Zanetti and Gianluca Zambrotta
Ball-winner: Claude Makelele
Central midfielder: Kinda hard...Emre's display in 02/03 was awesome, so is Cambiasso's in 04/05. Emerson is great too, so is Steven Gerrard, Xavi, Xabi Alonso, Deco...I'll pass on this.
Winger: One performance that stuck out was Vicente's of 03/04. But he has struggled since that season. Right now, C.Ronaldo is probably my choice, though I must say I don't like his style of play prior to this season.
Attacking midfielder: Kaka
Trequartista/Fantatista/Whatever: Either Totti or Ronaldinho. If you point a gun at my face and force me to choose one, Ronaldinho. It's kinda difficult to differentiate this position and the "attacking midfielder" but I just had to.
Forward: Thierry Henry or Shevchenko. I'll kill you if you force me to choose just one.
Striker: Adriano of 2004 was, hands down, the best. But Crespo, Van Nistelrooy, Trezeguet, Vieri...They were all supreme goal-scorers. Judging from strictly highlights though, Gabriel Batistuta definitely stands out for me but it's a shame that he declined so much just after I started to seriously follow football.
Bestest ever: I have to say, Ronaldinho. I am not a fan of fancy football. Effectiveness is the key too football. The end justifies the means, even if it means playing the most boring style. But Ronaldinho has shown over the past 3 1/2 seasons with Barcelona that he can mix both.

Goalkeeper: Alexander Vencel, Jr. - you can laugh as much as you want but he is really my N° 1 (used to be absolutely best in French league)
Defender: Giuseppe Bergomi
Midfielder: EURO 1996 is first big tournament I can remember and then I 100% adored Paul Gascoine. Another names to mention - Marc Overmars, Laudrup brothers, Luis Enrique, Robert Prosinečki, Zvonimir Boban, Robert Jarni...
Attacker/Striker: Well, EURO 1996 -Alan Shearer
, then Jurgen Klinsmann, Goran Vlaović... But since WC 1998 Roberto Baggio and Christian Vieri are top strikers for me

Some people were against a female name as my nick. Strange, don't you think?
But no, I did not left only because of it. Don't worry, there is a brand new superhero who will save everyone. I just have mental issues and I am freaking disgusting.
I starte watching Football in 1996.. I forget of say it. hehe
Of the 90's
Roberto Baggio, Romario, Maldini, George Weah, Zanetti, Ronaldo (of Barcelona and first 2 years at Inter).....
On the last years Henry, Totti, Gerrard, Kaka and much more....
I just take games I have seen in a stadium:
I saw Ballack in a stadium for Germany and was hugely impressed.
I also saw Nedved and Davids back in the days and really, Nedved was an animal.
But the player I saw and was most impressed with was Xavi.
His positioning on the field was massive, he was always at least two steps ahead of his opponents. His passing errors were close to none, I didn't notice him making a wrong pass all game. Likewise, Iniesta and Messi were brilliant to watch and as a striker, I have to say it's hands down Eto'o. (But then again, I haven't seen too many games live in real leagues)

Bergkamp and Javier Zanetti, defiately my favourite players ever, also Crespo And Bobo Vieri.
Well there are many players... Dunno... Some of them are defenders, some strikers, I can't really compare them and choose...
I hate Ronaldo very much, but he is one of the players who were the best... Rivaldo also, Anelka on some games, Nedved, Del Piero, Pandev, Vieri, Baggio, Batistuta, Totti, and many others... Hard question to answer...

Derby d'Italia, why the rivalry?
My message to JuBe cunts
I watched Ronaldinho's wonder goal last nite. Though I havent seen it live, but he's made his way to my favourites list.
Everything a man should be. We miss you Cipe.

(if there is another thread with this, please inform me)
I'm only 13 so I havn't seen Pele or Maradona or Gorgie Best play but i can remember ZiZu in France '98. I also remember Ronaldo(back when he played for us) in I think it was the world cup.
So i'd say Zinadine Zidane.
What about you?

I have seen Ronaldinho play in person and I must say that he is the greatest player I have ever seen. He has amazing control of the ball. When he plays, it looks like he's dancing.
