    Language advice

    Hello everyone,

Back to my tendency to ask off topic questions but im in the middle of making a decision to study a language at an institute..my choices of interest are spanish, french and italian...each one of them appeals to me differently.

It would be great if any learners of these languages can give me a hand on different views. If this helps, i have arabic and english as my main languages.

Arabic is good, cause some of the arab chicks make you jiggle inside your pants.
Between the 3 languages, I would say go with the Italians, Italian bitches are easy.

Spanish and Eyetalian chicks > Frenchies. So that immediately rules out the frog eaters.

Spanish and Italian are similar in language, get one and it wont take long to get the other.

Spot on, I speak spanish and sort of undertand when people speak to me in Italian. I'd say they are about 30-40% similar from my expereince. I've heard that learning Italian was harder than learning English but I haven't had Italian classes so I can't tell but spanish is not hard if you are just trying to speak it, writting it you will need to have some rules in mid for the grammar and spelling for the tildes, g<-->j , h , s<-->c <--(sometimes even with)--->Z.

Good luck with your choice, remember that Spanish is not just spoken in spain but in Latin America too!!

I also had a doubt which language will I try to learn, Italian or French, I decided it'll be Italian afterall..I visit Italy few times every year(and go to matches as well..) and I thought it would be useful to know the language cause the Italians are not that keen to use any other if they don't have to..

I speak frequently English and German, why not to add another while the brain is still capable..

    depends..

Italy and Spanish are easier to learn than French(much much easier). Spain is one of the most booming economies in Europe, Spain is more useful.Spanish people are much more friendly than French and Spanish has a lot of Arabic words in it..so..

On the other hand, from what I know in NA French is more needed for professionals and such. Also in the business world it's (still) more important.

I am learning French and Spanish - French is really much more harder.

Next week I have exams from both languages

Depends what you want to use it for, if you want it professionally, then it's easily French.

And yeah, French is damn hard, but it's damn beautiful. I've been learning it for a while, but it still took me 2 hours to write a short technical letter in French the other day!

Whatever you do, don't learn it the French Canadian way, no offence to them, but theirs suck and sounds different than what all other Francophone.

Spanish and Italian are quite alike, but not that alike that I initially thought. I'm learning Spanish now, and I pick up some Scarpini phrases due to my Spanish knowledge

Go for Spanish, I say. I thinks it's on up, while French is on the down, when speaking of world languages.

Bit of a contrast, I always found french pretty easy to pick up - the bits I learnt anyway. Italian seems to be pretty easy to read, just spoken Italian I struggle with.. And I never touched on Spanish.

I'd say start on Italian, then Spanish should be easy enough
