    Sampdoria - Inter (28 Jan 07)

    Round 2 *ding ding*

I hope a full out first team is available for this one with Adriano and Zlatan on the park to stick another three points up on the big board. I think it will be tougher than the Coppa game as Samp were missing a few players in that one. Lets hope our momentum carries us into the game with Roma on a high note.

If stankovic gets a yellow card, then we will suffer watching figo in a big game.

this is the game that may stop us.. 10 of their players will remain in their area.. that's what we've seen so far from most mid-small teams.

There's not even much to talk about anymore. We're so used to complaining about our team and all they do is win nowadays. I mean, it'd be nice if they thought about our feelings every now and then.

with the way that Samp is playing a draw might be a likely result. Certainly hope this does not happen and we can continue our winning ways. Anyways, I expect a strong lineup

    JC
    Maicon-Matrix-Burdisso-Maxwell
    JZ-Cambiasso-Vieira-Deki
    Ibra-Adriano

With Cruz or Crepso ready to be in action. If Crespo does well again he might be in contention w/ Adri to start for the Inter-Roma big match

B-rad, we're doin god jus don't jinx us Anyways we showed them what were capable of. They wanna keep 10 players in defence, that's up to them. But that's never stopped a team from scoring.

This game can be an important boost for the game against Roma, we should present our strongest line up since the Coppa problem was solved by our great performance on wednesday. The best way to go is to try to solve the game in the first half so we can save some players like Burdisso and Stankovic from getting an yellow card.

However let's not forget that winning this game is essential to keep Roma's hopes down, so that they feel that we are in a great moment and that the Scudetto may already be a lost cause for them.

    FORZA INTER!!!

Roma have closed the gap, we need to win to keep the gap as wide as possible. Hopefully Burdisso and Javier are fit enough to start this one. We are going to need a solid peformance from everyone involved.

Since their Sampdoria's latest promotion into Serie A in 2003, our record at the Marassi hasn't been very good.

    03/04 --- Sampdoria - Inter 2-2
    04/05 --- Sampdoria - Inter 0-1
    05/06 --- Sampdoria - Inter 2-2

It's not too bad, we're unbeaten, but man they are tough opponents.

This is the lineup, only Solari in the stands and Cruz bench.

In the past, I used to criticize Mancini for not putting in-form players in the starting line-up due to either favoritism or simply pure idiocy. Also, for tinkering and experimenting with the tactics in a big match (EuroDerby II 2nd leg, anyone?).

So, the reverse should happen when Mancini does the reverse too. Big up to Mancini for sticking with his 4-3-1-2 this season, and for choosing the most in-form players. It happened earlier with Crespo over Adriano and now, Burdisso over Cordoba and Maxwell over Grosso.

    Great job.
