Transfer budget 2007/2008 major clubs

According to World Soccer magazine June issue. These are the budgets the major clubs have for this summer:

Gobbi 71 million
Chelski 60 million
FC Internazionale 60 million
Real madrid 60 million
Barca 50 million
Lyon 50 million
Bilan 50 million
LFC 40 million
Man utd 30 million
Bayern 21 million
Arsenal 20 million

All amounts in pound sterling

Thats a budget it doesn't mean we will spend it all. Besides continuity is when you don't change too much moratti could buy 3 players each worth 20 million and we would still be using continuity.

No budget is the max amount you plan to spend. And we could spend 60 million on one player, you never know.

I think it can give you some perspective of what teams are thinking to do in this summer market, however estimated budgets are just that estimates, because we know that teams like Chelsea, Inter, Man. U., Real Madrid will spend as much as they please and need to build next year squad.

About the 60 millions from Inter, I think its just to say we are watching and if we see a good player we have the money to take it.

Its Bull crap. Juve do have 71mill on hand, but its mostly for repaying their debts and what nots. They are gonna be left with something in the range of 20-25mill for the summer transfers.

Yeah, the Lyon and JuBe ones are a little hard to believe. Lyon is a selling club for the most part (Essien and Diarra come to mind) while Gobbi are just coming back from Serie B. I think the big spenders will be the usual suspects: Real, Chelsea and possibly Bilan, Inter and Barca. Liverpool could be spending too with the rich Yank in charge.

every club gives out budget predictions and such stuff to the members at the begin/end of the season.

at least, it's the case with Barca and also other clubs where members have something to say.

Barca has every year a fix budget of 30 Million Euros saved for transfers and whatever else they make a surplus of, they can spend on transfers too.

Gobbi 71 million is BS.

They probably based it on the Agnelli fund injection news, but reports later explained that much of that money will go to covering debts emerging because of less income from tv rights, sponsors lost and no international competitions.

In reality they estimated a budget of about 30 million Euros, not 71 mill. pounds.

Of course it's speculative as the Porto and Sporting stars haven't been confirmed yet and they probably have to sell some players as well. Hopefully Rossi will continue in his homeland

Great signings. Considering their sucess with C.Ronaldo this doesnt seem like a gamble as these players barring Hargreaves are young and can be sold for a good price.
