I think Tevez would win it cause he saved West Ham from relegation , No wait, I think that Rooney scum should win it cause I like the way Man utd fans chant "Rooney", "Rooney" .

No Ibra , Fabregas or even totti. They should have excluded Kaka as well but Oh they can't cause he plays for the mighty bbilan.

What a joke. No Fabregas, Totti or Zlatan. And look at some of the players on the list. Thuram.

A complete Joke. No Fabregas, Ibra, Villa (even if I hate him), Totti and probably more players I can't think of right now. Article about this topic from goal.com:

lahm, marquez, juninho, and i'm sorry but why would gattusso be on it. Soccer wise i think he's horrible, he's a workhorse, but i dont think he's good, i'm probably the only one on this forum who thinks that tho.

Underated- all inter- for god sakes most of our players could be on that list, crespo (getttin old but who cares), ibra, figo, cambiasso, maicon. Like what the hell.

Despite Inter blitzing Milan twice last season, the latter has more representatives in this year's shortlist. I guess winning the Champions League was all FIFA needed. What's new?

What's even more ridiculous is FIFA's choice for Inter's sole representative. If they wanted to run a credible award, at least consult some real football fans.

Gianluigi Buffon (Italy), Serie B -->Casillias
Fabio Cannavaro (Italy), worst season in his life->Nemanja Vidić
Deco (Portugal), Bad form last season--> Fabregas
    Samuel Eto'o (Cameroon), Injured--> Ibrahimović
Gennaro Gattuso (Italy), --> Maybe Scholes
Thierry Henry (France), Average season, bad results and injury->Villa
Philipp Lahm (Germany), Bayern without CL spot--> Maicon
    Rafael Marquez (Mexico), Materazzi
Juan Roman Riquelme (Argentina), He played in last season?-> Diego
    Lilian Thuram (France), --> Mexes
Fernando Torres (Spain), Poor season, poor results --> Mario Gomes
Patrick Vieira (France), He's ours but what he doing on this list?-> Totti

I can't be objective but this guys aren't objective either. I can undarstand that they missed Diego(Werder), Toni(Fiorentina), Materazzi or Maicon but put Riquelme>Totti or Fernando Tores>Ibrahimovic or Thuram>Vidić and Gatusso> Fabregas is silly.

P.S: Lahm is on List but Mairo Gomes(the best player of Germany last year), he woned championship and he was the best scorer and he isn't. Where is logic there?

Overstatements of the year, the most ridiculous Fifa list in its ridiculous history.

Is the list of 30 players for determining the third best player of the year? Fifa knew without voting that Totti and Ibra already occupied 2 of the 3 places?

Serie B player nominated? Buffon should be proud of such achievement, bet many more players would love to play in Serie B in the future, much easier to standout and to outplay their opponents .

What else should Materazzi do to be on that list? What?

I'm 100% sure that they didn't watch Inter at all, not even a single game. Because if they did, they'll know that we had atleast 11 players better than Vieira.

    But seriously, Torres?

This is actually one of the worst lists of a award i have ever seen, it's all made about players who were ok years ago, not now.

This is a normal list, we even can add Toni or Villa for Henry.

Kaká (Brasil), Francesco Totti (Italia), Lionel Messi (Argentina), Daniel Alves (Brasil), Cristiano Ronaldo (Portugal), Ricardo Quaresma (Portugal), Zlatan Ibrahimovic (Suecia), Diego Ribas (Brasil), Didier Drogba (Costa de Marfil), Sergio Aguero (Argentina), Andres Iniesta (España), Daniele De Rossi (Italia), Michael Essien (Ghana), Gennaro Gattuso (Italia), Steven Gerrard (Inglaterra), Thierry Henry (Francia), David Silva (España), Robin Van Persie (Holanda), Philipp Lahm (Alemania), Andrea Pirlo (Italia), Franck Ribéry (Francia), Douglas Maicon (Brasil), Wayne Rooney (Inglaterra), John Terry (Inglaterra), Ruud van Nistelrooy (Holanda), Petr Cech (República Checa), Iker Casillas (España), Marco Materazzi (Italia), Frederic Kanoute (Mali), Cesc Fabregas (España).

I'am noT saying Cambiasso or Stankovic deserve to be there, but they have done much more for Inter than Vieira.

If anyone argues that the best player for 2007 is the one that FIFA elects then that person deserves to be crucified!

The reason is that Fifa took season 06/07 into consideration while including last summer's World Cup as well, that's why the likes of Lahm, Vieira, buffon, crappavaro, gattuso are on this list even though they didn't play well throughout the season but just don't know the reason why Matrix, Ibra, Maicon, Totti were completely omitted

The list is for this year 2007. Last years world Cup should have little or nothing to do with it. Just proves how big of an idiot Fifa really is.

Gatusso is in the list because of CL, CL gets really special consideration when deciding these things. Still no Justification for dropping out Europe's golden boot winner Totti and our Magicain IbraCadabra.

Fifa are the biggest idiots in the world.

Let me copy someone elses idea and make a list of criteria for being nominated for Fifa World Player.

1- If you are Brazilian or English men, there is already a 50% cance of you being in the list.

2-For Laliga players, you have to be either from Barca or Madrid, hence no Villa, no Alves.

3- For SERIEA players, you have to be from either Milan or Juve (which means no Ibra, no Materazzi and no Totti).

4- Rooney, Gerrard and Lampard will get automatic spots.

5- You can't play for Inter, except if you are a big name player, with a big past at some other top European club. The you could be shittiest player in the world, you will still get nominated.

Viera . Fifa Player of the year. He is the furthest thing away from being 'Inter player of the year'. I wont even put him in Inter top X1 player of the year.
    CAMPIONE D' ITALIA 2008-2009.
