    Facchetti Project and Video

For my italian class we had to pick a famous italian to write a short paper on. Of course, I picked Giacinto, both for my love of inter and my curiosity. I knew he was loved by all so I figured it was a good choice. My Italian teacher had no idea who he was but hopefully now she will remember him.

Anyways, I figured you guys would appreciate the essay and video (for the in-class presentation) I made. Parts of the raw footage are from Marcello's tribute (toone10) seen here. There's more info on the video on the actual youtube page.

    Rough Translation for English Speakers

Player, athlete, gentlemen, and president, Giacinto was everything a man should have been. We remember him not only for playing, but for his courtesy on the pitch. He was expelled only once, for applauding the referee comedically.

Always we remember Giacinto the captain and the gentleman.
    FORZA NERAZZURRI
    Avevamo vinto
    A ROMA, A SIENA, E DUNQUE, A MADRID!
NOSTRO AMORE PER TU NON MORIRA. NULLA E IMPOSSIBILE. INTER PER SEMPRE.

"Those who say it's not important say so because they don't have the right attitude or because they have been knocked out.
We must progress in every competition we're in the running for, a team like Inter must have this mentality."
