    Official: Inter sign Amantino Mancini

Since Branca has confirmed that we have an agreement with Roma and will be talking to him next week, I believe this deserves its own thread.

I am ok with this signing provided quaresma and one of deco/lampard comes as well.

Suazo seems to be part of the deal. Sad way for him to go. Never really showed what he can do and then the man who wanted him gets fired.

If the Quaresma rumour is true and we are also after A.Mancini, then it would either mean 4-3-3 or 4-4-2:

But that would mean that Zlatan would be playing in the CF role ??

Or, we could just be after A.Mancini and might get him IF the club which Quaresma has joined is Chelsea or by any chance R.Madrid.

I hope this doesn't mean the end of Quaresma here. If we get both Mancini and Quaresma giving up Suazo in the process, it seems we are going for more wings and less strikers. Especially since Crespo is leaving (he has actually offered himself to Ancelotti!) as well. We're left with Ibra, Cruz, Mario (Adri).

Never been a fan of 442 but it would be ok if Quaresma and Mancini play as wingers and we have two forwards. It would be one hell of an attacking lineup.

No, don't worry we're still after Quaresma... Oh btw we traded Mancini for Suazo so I think we kinda did well on the deal.

With Queresma being so expensive, A. Mancini is a better choice.

For Roma, A.Mancini almost played as a farward and was often the only player to take the ball farward on the counter because hes the only player who had the pace. That being said it was always predictable that he would cut in or try to play a one-two with totti or whoever. What im trying to say is for Roma he was not really utilized as a winger since he could almost never make a cross into the box because their would never be anyone their.

For Inter, he would be able to drive down the flanks and deliver crosses into the box since he has the farwards to do so and wont be so predictable. Thus i think he will be a different player for Inter as he will play under a differnt system.

I use to rate Mancini high like i said in the mids topic, 2-3 and 4 years ago, in the last months he didn't shine, looks inconsistent
and have SHITTY attitude, like it or not.
But this is not a bad deal, Roma wins a lot because Mancini will be FA next year, win 4 millions, and Suazo who is perfect for them and cost us 14 millions....
we change positions because a midfielder is more needed than a striker.

This look like a hell of team.

    -------Zanetti---Cambiasso-------
    ---------Lampard or Deco---------
    ----Quaresma--------------------
    ----------Zlatan------Balotelli----

    Subs:

    -------Vieira-----Pele---------
    ------Stankovic or Jimenez------
    ----Mancini--------------------
    ---------Cruz-------Adriano----

Obviously Quaresma and Mancini would fight for a spot, anything is guaranteed.

Although he is not exactly getting any younger, still I believe considering his price tag (compared to Quaresma) and his vast Serie A experience he definitely is the better option of the two.

As long as Suazo is part of the deal, im all for it.

Mancini is terribly inconsistent and will be nothing more than a squad player, but still an upgrade to the crap we have on the bench atm.

Branca will meet with A. Mancini's agent on 20 June to discuss personal terms.

Lets hope we dont pay over the odds. I'm now sure we will play more on the wings rather than through the middle. 4-3-3 if Quaresma comes too for sure.

If A. Mancini does arrive, I hope he will be playing on the left flank to support Maxwell in attacks. Maicon got all the right hand side fire power covered

I'm waiting for Hamed's autobiography on Mancini. It'll probably roll in within the next 24 hours citing the greatness of how good he'll be without Totti

If this is an alternative to Quaresma, it's an average move at best. The Brazilian is half the player the Portuguese is and is probably as temperamental as Q is. Obviously money is the key factor here.

What wing does he usually play on; right or left? Is he right or left footed?
