Alvaro Recoba's Inter career in pictures

Might be slow for low connections.

He's no longer part of the squad, though there hasn't been any official news about the contract ending (fuck you inter). Here's some pics during Chino's stay at Inter. Feel free to add if you have some too.

Good bye Recoba. Too bad those injuries ruined your career, regardless of that however you are a true interista .

Rumours have it that he may come to Australia to play for the Newcastle Jets. Apparently they are in negotiations for him to be their marquee player, but as of yet it is only a rumour.

I think that's little harsh alvaro, Inter gave him a lot during last ten years, he's rich motherfukcer and he was always injured. I admit that inter.it doing very bad work but Inter like a club gave Recoba a lot and that's a fact nobody can't deny.

Anyway, thank you Alvaro Recoba for your magic, you will be remembered like one of the biggest talents in football history, without that injuries he would won "golden ball" for sure.

I played football for couple of years. My coach always said: Only players that get constant injuries are those, who don't train/stretch enough.
Why Zanetti or Lampard are never injured? Because they are professionals. They train professionally and nothing happens to them.

That's not very accurate, it could be from lack of stretching and training but that's just a portion of it...I also played football for a club in the U-21 side for quite a while when i was in School back home and played 2 years of Varsity and constant injuries can occur for many reasons and lack of stretching is only 1 of them...I think Zanetti and Lampard aren't just work horses but also lucky not to have had 1 big injury in their career, and probably never broke a major bone in their feet as children....Constant injuries also occur when there are growth problems in certain areas or injuries that occurred to certain people while they were young or a big injury to happen to someone during their career...

And in the big leagues it becomes very physical unlike small leagues, and a player like Recoba with his style i'd guess tends to get kicked in the foot/ankle and stepped on much more often then say Zanetti or Lampard (this is just my opinion) and i think all it takes is 1 injury and that injury would stick to you like herpes throughout your career.....

Of course. Not stretching is not the only reason, but it's the most important.
Recoba's injuries were very different. Knee, ankle, shoulder. So, u can't say that he becomed injury-prone because of one big injury that he had first of all.
Still, i agree with u, technical players are tend to get injured more, because players of opposite team are more physical against them.

Well I have heard staying fit is an art. And every professional has to learn that.

Yes, some players are more injury prone but being injured for 80% of your career is plain sick. You should do better.

Recoba will always remember. He should have done so much more but destiny wasn't on his side.

Unlike certain other ingrato's chino has never said a bad word against the club which is a sign of were his heart lies.

Wouldn't make la grande inter for me but would defenitly be fondly remembered.

Discounting the importance of the match (CL final = Serie A match), that match was definitely the most dramatic comeback ever.
