I'm from Azerbaijan. I will support only half of our team. I won't support wrestlers, boxers and other fighting sports competitors from our country, because our fuckin' government uses them in beating and destroying peaceful rallies and meetings. Supporting them is just impossible for me.
Interesting enough, but we have decent chance to get medals in these sports. But i don't give a damn.

Any of Europeans or Aussies following field hockey? It used to be such a big sport in the 60s-80s, but now it gets less coverage than American high school skating championships.
Hoping Pakistan strikes gold in that, but there is very little chance of that.
Other than that, Pakistan is participating in some other gay events, which I couldn't care less about.

Only other thing I am gonna follow is football, great time to spot young talents. Was really pleased with Aquafaresca's performance against Honduras.

Current medal count is somehow unfair. Let's say USA, Russia and China have a large population, hence they have more chances of winning. The fair ranking would be the one proposed by some Australian channel when they devided number of medals earned by any given country by its population and the country with the lowest reasul of this formula would be ranked higher.

So for example USA has population of 300 mil and China 1.5 billion. Let's say USA have won 40 and China 50 medals. So if you devide the population by the number of medals won then USA will have better result compared to China.

Thats just stupid. In that case if England has a population of 300 mil and Italy 100mil, then England should have 3 football teams vying for qualification

India would be right at the top if that system were put in place

They always do, why would this year be any different.

Although with the Chinese and Russian governments spending all their peoples money on new types of "hard to discover"-doping instead of improving the standard of living in their contries, you never know.

I think you didn't get it. I didn't say that the larger population country has the more athlets it should have at the Olympics.

If India has 1 billion population and wins only 1 medal at the Olimpics thet it should be last not top.

Well my channel Azzkikr, NBC, says that China is projected to perhaps win the medal count this time around.

Anyways, that system of dividing by population works, but then it doesn't- b/c different countries also spend more and prioritize the Olympics over others...so it isn't purely a factor of population and athleticism, but other factors- culture, how they regard athletics, etc.

Exactly why I said a country with larger population should then have more than one team and somehow performance should be based on how they all fare.

It happens for ever sport not just Olympics, can't help it. Some have more people, some have more money or more infrastructure..consider those too.

As for the India part, it was sarcasm.

Ronnie, Pato and Anderson rip apart NewZeland. Time for Milan fans to start ejaculating over Ronnie and Pato's "awesome" display against NewZenland under-23 side.

Lavezzi scores a cracker as Argentina down Aussies.

I am trying to find a link for the game b/t Italy and S.Korea.

Obinna was on the score sheet for Nigeria against Japan.
