Sky Italia is reporting that Roma's president Franco Sensi has passed away at the age of 82 in the hospital a couple of hours ago, suffering from a long term illness.
The exact cause has not been reported yet.
RIP, may he rest in peace. He really cared and loved Roma, as much as Moratti loves Inter, just that he didnt have the financial muscle as Moratti.
He took over Roma in 93, and it was under his reign that Roma won their 3rd Scudetto in 2001. Franco had been suffering from illness for some time, and his daughter Rosella had become the managing director for Roma a couple of years back, taking over all the responsibilities.
A great loss to Italian football and the footballing world in general.
May he rest in Peace.
