    So once again De Boer was right when he's played Santon and made Nagatomo eat the bench?

    I hope we don't sell this needed club-trained guy while keeping the other.

    I wouldn't worry too much about it, it's not like he would pass a medical anyway.

    I've always had a soft spot for Santon, and it's great to see him do well when he gets the chance.

    BUT, if we're really trying to be a top team then he should be on the shopping list too. His peak isn't good enough, and he's potentially taking the spot of one of our most talented youngsters in Dimarco (possibly Miangue too). I'd rather him go back to being our reserve RB ahead of DDA.

    I know what to expect from Santon, he'll have good games for 3-4 times in a row, the 5th game he'll cost us a goal because of silly positioning. And I wouldnt mind that, he still offers way more than Nagatomo and we know what to expect from him. He wouldve been my starter LB for me this season if I was the coach, for next season though its too late. Also what's up really with him? Why does he keep failing medical tests? Why doesnt he just do the surgery and be done with it because I cant see any other solutions. Becasue from the way he plays and runs its clear he looks slower and holds pain. I wouldnt mind keeping him as a backup if he can be 100% fit.

    He should get his surgery this summer, otherwise he'll never be able to play more than 3 in a row.
    We are not now that strength which in old days
    Moved earth and heaven; that which we are, we are;
    One equal temper of heroic hearts,
    Made weak by time and fate, but strong in will
    To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield.

    It's not like our other full backs don't do fucking retarded mistakes, Santon's individual errors are tolerable in comparison.

    He had a great performance last night. He should be playing over Naga, though he still isn't good enough to be a starter for this club

    See, this is the deal with guys like Santon, Andreolli and D'Ambrosio. You need those rotation/back up players. They're just as important as your first team players. Extremely hard-working professionals who don't turn into crybabies when they don't play, and when they do play, they give 200%.

    Moreover, when your first team players are unavailable, you can't have shitheads like Nagatomo and Ranocchia as rotation/back up players because the severe damages that they cause every time they play is just untolerable. This is why Santon, Andreolli and D'Ambrosio are very important. They're actually good and useful rotation/back up players, and we're lucky to have two of them as club trained, unlike useless ones like Biabiany who is a complete waste of space.

    As a backup he is good for sure. He's been quite good in the last 2 games despite not playing for months, which is a good sign, and what you want in a backup. He should have had more minutes compared to Nagatomo. As long as we get a reliable fullback (a big if), Santon as a backup is a good player. I also think D'Ambrosio should be a backup.

    he gets injuries even when he sneezes. another drag till the end of his contract.
    My username has nothing to do with the player of loserpool fc, it is just a reference to an Italian novel.
