any line ups i hope for
ibrahimovic adriano
quaresma veira zanetti mancini
maxwell chivu burdisso(coardaba)maicon
ceasar
Back to Europa now!!
I am very eager to see Inter in CL this year
and nzinter, Burdisso is banned for the first game of CL so I am sure we will see Cordoba instead
I would hope for Chivu, but I don't think Jose will jump him straight back in the action, before giving him some bench minutes first. But Jose did start with Figo today, so I guess we can expect anything
I think we can see Adri in this game. If he will, it will be interesting for me how we will line up our attack. Will it be straight 4-4-2, with Ibra Adri attack, and Ricky Mancini on wings, or will it be 4-3-3, with trio Ibra - Adri - Ricky upfront?
Maybe... Jose will play 4-4-2 like he did today, with 4 "attackers" against weaker teams at home, against teams that will clearly try to sit on their asses like Catania did today, so what's the point of playing with just 3 "attackers". In harder games, and mostly away, it can be 4-3-3, with just 3 "attackers".
I don't know how Jose rates PAO, but I don't think he will risk with such an offensive formation as today, in his first CL game, and away to top that.

I think Muntari should start because he can't play in Serie A, unless they quit him that stupid red card.
JC
Maicon (the machine, il colosso, best rb ever)-Cordoba-Matrix-Max
Zanetti Vieira Muntari (cambiasso rest)
RQ77 Adriano Mancini
Zlatan for the second half maybe. League is much more important than this CL games, if we win 4 games (we will) out of 6, we are in 1/8 and as leaders of da group. Also Cruz deserves some minutes but looks like the Figo love from Mourinho is going out of control.
I'm pretty sure he rates PAO pretty high because it's their home match. Greek and Turkish teams are very tough at their home ground, we've seen that before.
It's interesting to see who will start in attack. Zlatan unfortunately had to play the whole match yesterday, I don't want him to be stressed too much at the start. PAO is surely a better team than Catania so our ball control won't be that 60-40% like it was yesterday (even with 10 players half of the match). Maybe there will be Zlatan-Adriano-Mancini in attack, midfield will surely be Zanetti-Cambiasso-Muntari.
I hope we don't lose 0-1 on Tuesday with a Mancio like performance.
Spoiler: text
It would be typical of this team, 2 years ago vs Sporting and last year Fenerbache, but i rather win in the 1/8's and 1/4's than vs Pao. Inter will obviously win atleast 4 games and be leader of the group.
Sorry, i predict a draw in this one.
Zanetti(Maicon), Cordoba, Chivu, Maxwell
Viera(Zanetti), Cambiasso, Muntari
Quaresma, Adriano, Mancini
I think this may be the lineup against the Greeks although I wouldnt be surprised to see something like yesterday where that 4-4-2 becomes very offensive almost a type of a 4-2-4 where we come right at their Defense oriented style. IMO we will be very aggressive in this game. I think we win 2-0 hopefully some Adri goals Mancini RQ with the assists lets go. If we want to win the CL this year Adriano is the #1 key he in Europe will be more important than Ibra.
Mourinho names squad for Panathinaikos
Sunday, 14 September 2008 14:26:02
APPIANO GENTILE -After Sunday morning's training session José Mourinho named his 20-player squad for Tuesday evening's UEFA Champions League Group B Matchday 1 match against Panathinaikos (Olympic Stadium, Athens at 20:45).
Goalkeepers: 1 Francesco Toldo, 12 Julio Cesar, 22 Paolo Orlandoni.
Defenders: 2 Ivan Ramiro Cordoba, 4 Javier Zanetti, 6 Maxwell, 13 Maicon, 23 Marco Materazzi, 39 Davide Santon.
Midfielders: 7 Luis Figo, 14 Patrick Vieira, 19 Esteban Cambiasso, 20 Muntari, 33 Amantino Mancini, 36 Francesco Bolzoni, 77 Ricardo Quaresma.
Strikers: 8 Zlatan Ibrahimovic, 9 Julio Ricardo Cruz, 10 Adriano, 45 Mario Balotelli.
I'm expecting..
JC
Maicon-Cordoba-Materazzi-Maxwell
Zanetti-Cambiasso-Muntari
Figo/Quaresma-Zlatan-Mancini
I hate to see Figo starting any match but it really seems he will be Mourinho's Stankovic.

Jose have said he rested Mancini for CL game, and I don't expect Jose benching his dream player Ricky Q, who is fired to play, and who has all the fuel in his legs, after sitting on his ass for almost all summer.
I don't think Figo will play. On the other hand, I was expecting to see Adriano play. Adriano, Ibra, Ricky and Mancini, they all can play, or 3 of them. I think that is a fair bet.

I'm thinking RQ and Ibra will be on the bench. Figo, Mancini, Adri, Cruz, Muntari, Cordoba, Matrix, J.Cesar, El Cuchu are guaranteed starters IMO. I'm only doubtful on the wingbacks. Maicon and Max both looked tired at the end. Max might play, but Maicon was tired.
I'm just saying before Mourinho names his lineup and Jimbo gets angry.![]()
Everything a man should be. We miss you Cipe.

Finally Viera is ready for his comeback !! Hope to see Adriano for atleast half an hour ...
Viera - Cambi - Zanetti in midfield
Mancini - Ibra - Quaresma is attack
we shud not slack off - we need to send a message out to Europe ASAP - and i bet Mourinho wud like that as well. Field our strongest lineup and hope for a 3-0 or 4-0 victory. That wud set us up perfectly.
For me, I'd pick this:
J.C
Maicon-Cordoba-Matrix-Maxwell
Zanetti-Muntari-Cuchu-Quaresma
Adriano(if ready to play atleast a good 60 mins)-Ibra
If we score early, I'd take Adri off at and send Vieira on. Then take RQ off and send on Mancini(in the last 15 mins)
If we win this match we are 95% qualified...i hope we do it and take a breath later without entering into calculations and shit...
JC
Maicon Cordoba Matrix Maxwell
Zanetti Muntari Cuchu
Quaresma Ibra Mancini
------------J.Cesar-----------------
--Maicon---Cordoba---Matrix----Maxwell--
---------------Vieira(cambiaso-----------------
----J.Zanetti------------------S.Muntari--------
-----------R.Quaresma-----------------------
----------Adriano(balotelli-------Ibrahimovic--------
or if mourinho will play 4-4-3
cesar
maicon,cordoba,matrix,maxwell
j.zanetti , vieira , muntari
balotelli , ibra , quaresma
cambiasso will rest,
i hope we are going to win the match
cuz is really dificult to win in panathinaikos stadium
inter till i die
PAO away will be tough. I have a feeling we'll get a draw out of it though a win would be ideal for obvious reasons.
Respect to one of my favorite ex-Inter players, Giorgos Karagounis!![]()
I have a feeling that Mourinho has given all the hints that he's gonna play Quaresma -- Zlatan -- A.Mancini trio for the Champs League game; IF he's gonna play the 4-3-3 formation
