Zlatan needs rest, Quaresma and Figo for this one. We should beat Lecce with them. I doubt we have enough midfielders though. I'd give Maicon a rest too if I could

We can't rest Vieira or Cambiasso if we play 4-3-3, but i would play again a 4-2-2-2

    -Maicon--Cordoba--Chivu/Matrix--Chivu/Maxwell
    --------------Zanetti---Cambiasso/Vieira (one rest)
    --Quaresma----------------------Figo-
    -----------Adriano----Balotelli/Cruz-----

Mancini to start the derbi along with Zlatan and RQ/Adri/Mario

Yeah, I agree with you Alex. I think 4-4-2 is very likely for this game. We played like that versus Catania, and Lecce ain't no stronger team.

I also think Figo will start this game, because it is easy game, and at home, so here he can do all the shit he wants. He can't keep up with the best teams in the league, but he can in this ones.

One more request of mine, would be to see Cristian in the center of the deffense.

ps. Wonder how longer it will take for Walter to be back. God, I can't wait for The Wall to come back, as with him and Cristian in the center, I believe we will be able to play high pressing, the one Jose is talking about for some time now.

Chivu won't play in center for this game. He is not back to full match fitness and Jose would like the center duo to remain the same here and for the derby.

Hard to say. I thought so too, but Jose was playing Ivan without even bringing him slowly to the team. Straight to the deep water. So why not Chivu ?

I think that Chivu performs much better as a CB rather than a full back..same with Burdisso...
when we need to pay great attention to our defense the trio of Cordoba-Samuel-Chivu will be the most appropriate, but when we need to play offensively against sides like Lecce and score goals,Maxwell or even Zanetti would be ideal...
He can surely help Inter's game by creating the game from the defense and give much more accurate passes than Materazzi...
For Wednesday's game I'd go for a Cordoba-Chivu CB pair and if Maxwell's not available,I'd like to see how Zanetti can perform as a LB...
Stankovic can also take some valuable playing minutes which will help him regain his match fitness...I also think that Figo has more chances to start the match probably alongside Quaresma..

I think Vieira, Ibra should be rested for this game. Perhaps Mancini too if possible. Big derby coming up follow by a clash with Bremen.

APPIANO GENTILE - José Mourinho has called up 21 players for Wednesday evening's Serie A Week 4 match at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza (kick-off 20:30):

Goalkeepers: 1 Francesco Toldo, 12 Julio Cesar, 22 Paolo Orlandoni.

Defenders: 2 Ivan Ramiro Cordoba, 4 Javier Zanetti, 13 Maicon, 16 Nicolas Burdisso, 23 Marco Materazzi, Nelson Rivas, 26 Cristian Chivu.

Midfielders: 5 Dejan Stankovic, 14 Patrick Vieira, 19 Esteban Cambiasso, 33 Amantino Mancini, 77 Ricardo Quaresma.

Strikers: 8 Zlatan Ibrahimovic, 9 Julio Ricardo Cruz, 10 Adriano, 18 Hernan Crespo, 45 Mario Balotelli, 21 Victor Obinna

Interesting that Obinna is called up. Maybe we'll get to see a couple of minuted from him.. Nice to have Dejan back too.

Perhaps he will be thrown on for Figo/Quaresma should the two of them both start tomorrow. This game will be important to get Chivu to full condition before the derby.

If he's on the bench, I think we should give him a go.

I worry about Maxwell. He is not called up AGAIN, and he might not play versus Milan, which would be a loss for us, since he is at the moment in great form, both deffensively and offensively(except his a little worse performance vs Pana).

He was called up against Torino, but didnt make the squad.

Jose said in the interview before the game that if Maxwell said he was fit, then he would play.

He is properly just been given the entire week to recover so he is completely fit against Milan.

Or atleast i hope, because Chivu isnt worth anything on the offense.

Maybe we are getting him ready for the derby itself. To be honest, we need a more defensive LB than Max for that game. Max is playing well, but if Chivu can make it, I dont think we will lose that much as a team.

But yea, we cant afford to have him out for a much longer period of time.

Mourinho usually gives us some advance information about his team. Can you give us some as well?
"As he says, I'll give you five names: Figo, Jimenez, Santon, Maxwell and Samuel. These are definitely unavailable. All the others are available for the game."

    Quick!!!

Somebody check his account. I think someone is impresinating Azzkick. This post is just too normal to be of his.

ps. I stand corrected about "again" part. I hope he will make for the derby, as he was playing great football since day one of this season.
