We need to win. Bremen are in goalscoring and goal conceding form. . Lets hope we play like we normally do and get the result. Diego should be watched.

Everything a man should be. We miss you Cipe.

    My team would be this:

    JC

    Maicon Cordoba Chivu JZ

    Quaresma Cambiasso Muntari Mancini

    Ibra Adri

I think we need to adjust the system a bit .

I love it...Strong all over.Someone needs to partner Ibra upthere with alot of threat coming from midfield. Not sure if the players have recovered physically yet but this game we will run on adrenaline.I am hoping the game after this some players rest...

I want to see Stefan's line-up too, I don't want to see Burdisso or Materazzi on the field for a while. And we should try 4-4-2 with both wingers exchanging flanks; Ibra also needs someone to partner up-front.

Sadly with Burdisso and Matrix both red carded in the league, we might not able to risk both Chivu and Cordoba for CL.

I know I cannot completely blame the red cards on them but it is just annoying. Every time it is Matrix and Burdisso getting the red which force the team to makeshift.

On a sidenote, if Maxwell can be fit, our side attack will be great. Maxwell/Mancini, Maicon/Quaresma

Move Capitano to LB. Play a flat 442. Mancini as a winger would help defend as well.

When Jimenez returns, we should try 433 again. Till then say adios to it.

So Maxwell won't be ready for this game. In the CD we should go with Cordoba and Matrix alongside with Maicon and Chivu. I wouldn't put JZ in LB.
In midfield we shouldn't start with that slowy Vieira but put Stankovic in there. I would love to see a 442 system too, so there Mancini could play as a midfield(left or right side)
    Zanetti-Stankovic-Cuchu-Mancini
and in the attack we should go with our best in CL(Adri) and Ibra.
Why should we play with Ibra as a lone striker while we know that in that case we won't do too much for us. Ibra isn't good alone in FW. If we put Adriano, i'm sure hes gonna score a goal.

Does anyone know if ESPN Classic is showing this game in the US? I know ESPN 2 has the Liverpool game.

He will play Adri in centre forward role for sure... I'd love to see Quaresma and Balotelli supporting... Watch how many goals we score with this attack...

Hope Diego will impress Mourinho in this match and will make him want to buy him in winters mercato.
But he can't shoot goal to us coz as Mourinho said he doesn't buy players who shoot goals against his team

I wouldn't expect so many changes. Jose have said himself 80% of the derby squad will remain.

But... if someone is not trusting a word Jose is saying, then he doesn't.

I personaly think, Muntari will play, and so will Adriano. That will be 2 changes. There might be a third one, to change one of the center duo.

Still unsure till now, the TV Guide still showing TBA (To Be Announced). It's definitely Champions League game though, just not sure which team they're showing.

ESPN Deportes, on the other hand, will show the match delay. Thursday early morning 1.00 o'clock. If Classic doesn't have it, make sure you don't miss this one.

    Anyway...

Mourinho names squad for Werder Bremen clash

Goalkeepers: 1 Francesco Toldo, 12 Julio Cesar, 22 Paolo Orlandoni.

Defenders: 2 Ivan Ramiro Cordoba, 4 Javier Zanetti, 13 Maicon, 16 Nicolas Burdisso, 23 Marco Materazzi, 26 Cristian Chivu.

Midfielders: 5 Dejan Stankovic, 14 Patrick Vieira, 19 Esteban Cambiasso, 20 Sulley Muntari, 33 Amantino Mancini, 36 Francesco Bolzoni, 77 Ricardo Quaresma.

Strikers: 8 Zlatan Ibrahimovic, 9 Julio Ricardo Cruz, 10 Adriano, 45 Mario Balotelli.
    Still no Maxwell.

4-4-2 with the players Stefano listed look good. I'm tired of seeing Ibra looking isolated and lonely. His greatness is wasted when he's flanked by two wingers. If Adriano has to play, I wanna see him used as a target man though. None of this drifting out to the wing like he's done before. With his size and heading ability, he should always be hovering in or around the box.

    Cruz could work as well.

Surely one of the inclusion will be Muntari. The other one should be Cordoba or Adriano.
