Great first day for the serie a team.

I was watching a bit of Udinese-Tottenham. Decent game, little boring. Udinese do generate a lot of pace in their movements.
Who the hell do Tottenham spend more than $60mills on every season? I was looking at their team, and apart from Luka Modric, and the former PSV keeper Gomes (who comically gave the first penalty away), there was no one else I could recognise in their team.

Sevilla thrashed Shalke, and Sampdoria won very very valuable 3 points in Belgrade. Group C is by far the toughest group in Uefa cup, and getting three points away from home was vital for Sampdoria.

Most of the Italian fans dont seem to take Uefa cup very seriously though, until the latter stages. After getting a dissapointing turn out of only 10,000 fans vs Dortmund, Udinese reduced their ticket prices by more than 50% for this game, and got some what around 20,000 fans for this game.

Attendance in Italy is just pathetic these years.
Only 30k fan for the game against Anothrosis for us even though it is a CL
I thought more would show up following the 4-0 thrashing of Roma

Why doesn't anyone care about this thread? Come on guys. Show some respect for Milan. They worked really hard to qualify to this competition.

Apparently Milan got one whole point after their draw with Wolfsburg in G.Meazza.

Good job by the World Champions.

Great comeback by Bremen. They totally dictated the play in the second half.

    Fiorentina go out as well

I hope Udinese does well in the next stages.

Funny how bremen has now dominated both milan teams this season.

Us in the CL and Milan in the UC.

    Pathetic.

samp out, fiorentina out, milan out and all 3 teams in the CL likely to go as well. Udinese probably the only Italian team in europe in 2 weeks.

Jesus christ Italian football has become a complete joke. I wonder what all those idiots who were talking about "serie a being resurrected" had been smoking.

Because La Liga teams is doing so much better? No teams left in the UEFA cup after Deportivo was crushed by some danish team and Valencia was shot down by Dynamo. Sevilla and some other team were owned in the group rounds.

Real Madrid most likely going out in the Champions League, Villareal and Atletico not looking good.

Barcelona probably the only Spanish team left in Europe in 2 weeks.

As much as I loved seeing Milan crash out, it was once again a very sad day for Italian football.
All the Spanish teams are gone as well. Even though only one English team managed to go through, they dont have to worry, as they will probably get 4 teams in CL quarters.

Tough luck for Viola, their finishing was shit poor. Then Ajax scored in the 88th minute to take the tie away from them. Udinese the only Italian team left in Uefa cup, and they will probably go out to Zenit in the next round.

I honestly thought that Italian football would be enjoying a renaissance season, the past 3 days have proven how wrong I am. No Italian team managed to score a goal in the CL, conceding 2 away goals in the process. And now 3 teams sent from from the UEFA Cup. This is perhaps the lowest point of Italian football in the past few years.

Good to see Milan crash out.

All big 3 league pretty much failed in UEFA Cup this year. Only 1 English and 1 Italian team left.

I don't give a flying fark about Italian football, I am glad Milan are out and would love to see Juve out and even Roma.

    Good for us.
