Sorry if this thread has already been posted but with the Manure game looming I thought we could use a change in scenery. So does anyone here wanna discuss how they're football lives have gone?
Here's mine:
My dad is all about football it's his life, I guess I took my love of the game from him. When I was 8 I played for the first time in a competitive league and from what I remember it was easy. I averaged like 3 goals a game, and I was the defender. If anyone here grew up in Canada, they would know how the young soccer leagues with boys and girls. 7 a side, with subs as if we were playing basketball.
My team which was called Courtice Dental made it all the way to the Quarters where we got knocked out 4-2. I scored the 2 goals.
That marked the end of my amateur footballing days. Two years later, I made it for my elementary school's team. The coach, who was a dunce stuck me and all the other young kids in the defense and left the older kids to attack. I managed to score one of the two goals the team scored in the rntire competition.
The next year, I was made the school's team but this time as the captain. We were alright and finished third and could have made the finals had I not gotten sick with the flu. This marked the end of my footballing career as I never played competitively after that and in fact, broke my leg in a scrimmage with friends. After healing from that injury I decided retire from playing any kind of competitive football anymore and I have moved to playing basketball.
This is my story. What's yours?
