FC Internazionale and AC Milan are set to meet in an exhibition match Sunday, July 26 at Gillette Stadium.
The game is part of a six-match series which will also include contests involving Club America of Mexico and Chelsea FC of England. The entire schedule is set to be announced this week.
Inter and Milan are among the most successful clubs in soccer history. Milan has won 17 Serie A scudetti and seven European Champions Cup/Champions League titles. Inter has won 16 Serie A championships and currently leads the standings with a 21-2-6 record for 69 points, seven more than second-place Juventus. Milan (16-6-7) is third place with 55 points.
This would be among the few times Inter and Milan will face each other away from Stadio San Siro, the home venue they share. David Beckham, performing on loan with Milan, is expected to return to the Los Angeles Galaxy in May -- the Galaxy visit the Revolution Aug. 8.
Inter will be making its Gillette Stadium debut. Milan lost to Chelsea, 1-0, on an Arjen Robben goal before 26,208 on July 24, 2005 at Gillette Stadium. Chelsea was then coached by Jose Mourinho, now guiding Inter.
