    GAMARRA CONTINUES WITH INTER
    Tuesday, 31 August 2004 19:57:59
MILAN - Olympic silver medallist with Paraguay Carlos Alberto Gamarra will remain at Inter for another season. Gamarra will train with Roberto Mancini's squad when he arrives in Italy. As part of the deal which sees Ianis Zicu move on loan to Parma, midfielder Mario Rebecchi returns to Inter (end of loan period).

I think we have taken Rebecchi cause we couldnt get a natural left-winger

YYYYYEEEEEEESSSSS!!!! This is such a relief for me.

Practically what we done with our central defence now: Canna and Lele out, Miha, Sorondo and Bur in.

    I simply can't understand this club !

Now, is Gamarra supposed to be Canna's replacement ? Because we only got him when we knew than Cannavaro is off to Juve. Another point is, why did we release Adani who is way better (and younger) than Gamarra ? Not to mention that he's Italian and that's quite important under the new FIGC rules.

Another mind boggling thing is the Zicu-Rebecchi deal. Why did Parma accept him on loan in the first place if they don't want him ? Why didn't we just extend Zicu's loan period with them instead of wasting his and our time in pre-season ?!

I'll never be able to understand Inter ! We're truly a circus !

I think Mancini wanted to see Zicu first hand!

Nice to see Rebecchi back he's a good player and although Gamarra isn't no Cannavaro. He is experienced and decent!

I disagree with your whole post. Especially that you think Canna with tibia is better than Gamarra.

Well it's better to get Gamarra then no players at all...
And Rebecchi well I don't now to say abaut that, we should loan him out to another team then, because he is not to much use for us now, we have plenty of wingers so he will not get much playing time, and to be honest I don't trust him very much.

Well, duh. Of course not, if he still has it Juve have a much worse player than Super Canna. Your answer is NO.

This whole thing just doesn't make any sense at all. If we were going to sell Canna so why did we let Gamarra go in the first place. Or if we didn't want Gamarra, why let Adani go FOR FREE.

This really is idiocy at the highest level.

Maybe Adani wanted first team action regularly which he deserves and I agree it was weird to not resign Gamarra in the first place.

 I knew it! Mancio is racist against Italians! :p

I don't think Adani requested for a regular first-team football. He must have known that Cordoba, Canna and Matrix are all better than him. It's pretty obvious that he isn't on Mancini's plan and thus we cancelled his contract. The re-shuffling movements made on the defensive department has been nothing short of shambolic. All we can do now is hope that Cordoba and Materazzi to stay as fit as possible and to regain their 01/02 form. They weren't the best but were very good at that season.

See that´s where I disagree. Gamarra has done more for Inter than Cannavaro ever did. And Materazzi is just so underrated that I almost...

hmm let me see how many Italian players we have

    Cordaz
    Fontana
    Toldo
    Coco
    Favalli
    Pasquale
    Matrix
    Rebecchi
    C.Zanetti
    Vieri

10 Italian player so he can't be totaly agains Italian..

The moste funny thing with our squad is that we have 3 Italian goalkeepers, 3 LB...that 6 out of our 10 Italian player on two position..Thats not normal...But this is also Inter.

Don't you think that it ard that only 1/3 of our players are Italian. There have never been so few Italians in all the time I have supported Inter. We are an Italian team for God sake.

Sorry but Cannavaro without legs is better than Gamarra. Gamarra should be playing his football in Qatar, not at Inter.
