    Simone Pasa

    Simone Pasa
    D.O.B.: 21-01-94
    Position: DC/DMC
    A bit like: Cambiasso
Chance of first team action this season: Very low. The only situation I can imagine him playing is a defensive injury crisis. Cambiasso, Zanetti perhaps, others will be above him even in the case of a serious centre-back lack
Chance of loan next season: Almost guaranteed, he needs to develop somewhere, if it was up to me I'd put him alongside Caldirola or Benedetti for a year
Chance of staying at Inter in the long term: 60% He's an interesting young prospect who has shown some skills, but we need to see more consistency and experience from him before we can commit
    Introduction:
A player who has traditionally been a midfielder for Inter, he has developed some good technical and tactical skills. He's been converted of late into a ball playing centre back for Inter, and he's succeeding. Our defense is the best tactical part of the whole team, with Donkor and Pasa looking sharp. Pasa is getting recognition in the Italy U-18/19/20 category as well now, he's looking like a good centre back for the future. As far as development goes, he needs to bulk up, get experience, and get some exposure to the first team atmosphere/playing against higher level players. He's great at reading the game currently, and good with the ball.

Do you believe that Inter will fight for the Scudetto?

“Of course. The exception was last season but was a bad year but if we work well and work together starting in July , our team has nothing to envy others.”

What I did not understand: He played as winger in the 1 half and as CB in the 2 half? Did I noticed it right?

    Is he that versatile?

he played well as a cb though, but its only one game, need to see more of his game

passing was good....marking, positional awareness, and decision making was decent

but need to watch him more often

Nah he played as defensive mid in the first half, when Cassano was brought in he moved to the CB spot. Very clever of Strama, he had already planned that one.

I loved his performance though, tactically intelligent, great technique for a CB, he's a bit slow but hey, he's a CB.

I really have high hope for this kid, I wanted to see him more in Serie A or europa league, hopefully inter will loan him out somewhere else...

really impressed with his discipline and intelligence in the pitch

which one is his best position ? DM or cb?
I've seen him play at cb once, and this kid was decent (in EL I guess), really impressed....

he's quite multipurpose. I think he seems better as a technical CB than a DM, but i havent seen so much of him as a DM - he rarely plays there, especially at primavera level. As a DM he's more like a Motta style player than anything.

We have enough DMs for next year.. and hopefully with Duncan coming, can't really see him having much room in the DM position. He's good at CB and we won't have that many CBs, so keep him instead of Chivu and he should be fine as a backup.

He should be a CB. Good technical CB's that can get the ball out of the back with some passing range are not easy to find. He looks comfortable back there too.

Damn I thought he was more of a Ranocchia, slow and not very aggressive but this guy didn't let his opponents breath, constantly on their heels.

Great, awesome debut. I think most of those here don't realize what a performance this guy made today, playing on the left of a 3-man defense in a difficult stadium like the Marassi... Really impressive to perform on that level considering his situation.

Man if we played this kid more instead of Silvestre, Chivu etc we wouldn't have to witness the fuckups and we'd win more games but whatever

Great to see another product of ours do well. Just get rid of the Silvestre's, Chivu's here and give this guy chances.
