    Gazzetta reports that he could come on loan.

    Loan payment is about 3-4 million with the right to buy for 18 million.

    The negotiation Inter and Real Madrid have been talking about Sneijder for some weeks. Florentino Perez would like to take home at least 18 of the 27 million that spent in 2007 by his predecessor (Calderon) to Ajax. Massimo Moratti already reached an agreement in principle: loan payment 3-4 million with a right to fully purchase at 18 million. The only missing is the okay from the player who is transfer listed.

    Convince Wesley The Dutch so far has shown little desire to "cooperate" with a club now desperatly need to offload their stars. Sniejder is not only the one who's waiting to know more about his future. Liverpool's Xabi Alonso is another. Marco Branca and Lele Oriali, however, are conviced with these passing days there will be a good chance of capturing the Dutch superstar, who has great technical quality and one of the best playermaker in Europe. In short, the Nerazzurri's management expect to discuss more with Sneijder before the end of August, maybe just after the Italian Supercup with Lazio next Saturday in Beijing.
    Translation is not perfect but it's not hard to understand.

    18 million is a bit too much. Our management is not in a hurry, we'll start negotiations and close the deal in a few week or maybe even less.

    Well let's go for him!

    With the money from Hleb, we will bring this player on loan.. so Hleb rejecting us was a blessing

    Buying would be better, but loan with an option to buy is also good since we'll be able to see what he can do in Serie A.

    He has good vision, quality passes and really nice free kicks. We should sign him and also give him #10.

    Pretty expensive loan fee, that would almost require us to buy him next summer. 18m€ is really a bit too much, but we have a big need for new CM right now.

    edit. Hopefully we can also get RM to pay part of Sneijder's salary, which is probably huge.

    Don't worry it won't be neither 3-4 mil. loan or 18 mil. transfer. If we got Quaresma who was a key player for Porto for 18 mil. I don't think we'll get player who Real wants to offload for the same price.

    I went to a RM forum and collected some posts of theirs and it don't look good but damn, we brought the likes of Cambiasso - Samuel from there and they are doing great (they were discussing on whom to get rid of - VDV/Sneijder):

    Most will know my answer, so I won't go too in depth. For me, Sneijder simply does not have the nerves and brains to play in a Real Madrid midfield. He's not sure of himself and is all over the place.

    Van der Vaart has had his ups and downs, but can offer alot more in build-up and control of the play. He is a better passer without doubt, and has those back-heels, bicycle kicks, etc. that show his touch of class.

    ==========

    both are starters for Holland NT and not back-up materials, I agree Vaart is a better passer, dribbler etc but we already have Guti, Sneijder is more aggressive and hard worker but damn his first touch is shitty.

    ==========

    VDV! Even last season he was better than Snejider, despite rarely ever getting minutes under Juande Ramos.

    Besides, Sneijder will generate more money from his sale. Close to 20 M Euros.

    ==========

    WS is better. He can play in different positions, his work rate is better, and he played very good games in his first season. I can see that both of them were sh*t last year! but VDV didn't show anything to imply that he has what it takes! VDV can be really good if playing as a second striker, but not as a central mid.

    ==========

    How people can vote for Wesley is beyond me, likeable guy but really awful player and this is coming from one of his fans. I was estatic when we signed him but he's just darn right awful.

    VDV at least can control the ball and can complete a 5 meter pass, i vote for him.

    =========

    I really liked wesley and had great hopes for him when he came, but the guy totally lost it. He should go and repair his confidence in a different team.
    VDV should stay if he accepts bench role.

    =========

    I always rated Wes higher and I think that he can be a better player, but not at Real Madrid. I can't watch him anymore. As for van der Vaart, he didn't even manage to play as a midfielder in Germany, but as a second striker, he can be a nice sub for Kaka in Madrid, but he will not accept a bench role.

    =========

    Sell both, but if one will stay that should be VdV, no question about it. He is more complete player than Sneijder is.

    =========

    Lol @ Sneijder ..... I'd sell them both but if I have to keep one its VDV, as I have said from last season, VDV has much more football in his boots and Managers didnt help his case, his best position is as an AM not a CM

    watching Sneijder makes me want to throw up, offload him

    =========

    Sneijder is slower, both in terms of decision making and moving the ball, but also when it comes to pace. I really think van der Vaart is a good player, sure, he's a bit up and down at times, but he would definitely be an asset for any team out there. The guy is capable of some great brilliance at times.

    =========

    Yes, Wesly at the top of his game can be sublime too. But the difference is that there is much more of a chance of VDV returning to his old form than there is with Sneijder. Sneijder was given confidence in his position time and time again, and consistently failed. VDV on the other hand played very good for us when he first came, but his confidence was shattered when Juande made him a forgotten man for reasons none of us really know. Pellegrini looks like he potentially might have more faith in VDV.

    =========

    Sneijder has more pace than VdV (who is definitely slower) and moves the ball fairly quickly. We're not discussing form here, just the basics.

    I'd keep Sneijder - simply a more complete and better player. I'll give him one more season to prove his worth before I declare him an outright bust.

    =========

    Sneijder? Come on. We need people who can pass and control the ball. Sneijder does neither. His first touch is as bad as Beck's. We don't need his one shot in 100 that goes in, we got Kaka, CR9, Benz and hopefully Alonso for long shots and free kicks which are his biggest assets. We a need player that can pass the ball around and keep possession and VdV is superior to Sneijder in that game. He might suit some PL teams better like Chelsea for example but he doesn't suit our new style.

    =========

    the problem is he had a bad injury last pre-season and he never came really back from this. Technically he is over VdV, but formwise it is a different question. Before that, he had ups- & downs, but at least he showed his ability.

    =========

    It always dangerous to rate players based on competitions. Whats important is consistency and Sneijder hasnt shown any at all. He has had a few decent to good periods but they havent really lasted long.

    So from what I can gather from Pravesh's post is that Sneijder is none of the things we need except he maybe good at FKs.

    Lets not forget italian Serie A is different, and also we're not aiming for Maradonna, and Sneijder even if what they are saying is true(for spanish league which has big standards for these things), is still a lot better in this department than any of our midfielders.

    He fits Jose's list perfectly. He said it himself: he wanted someone like Stankovic with more offensive capabilities. Diego is not that guy, and the players like him are never very hard workers. Few exceptions in history are only exceptions.

    Sneijder fits the bill. I think with Cassano and Sneijder here our market would be remarkable.

    Yeah, thats scary but I am still hopeful. We have to remember, Cambiasso and Samuel were RM rejects.

    Yup. Sneijder kind of player seems to be the one Mourinho is looking for but I hope he would be the next Cambiasso-Samuel for us, IF he does join us. I guess there's still the chance for us to sign Deco or ??

    From all the players on the market sneijder is the closest to jose description of his number 10. Neither of the dutch players have ever convinced me but we don't really have lots of options available.

    For my opinion I'd give number #10 to Sneijder if he join Inter, he is great player also he is young and there aren't a lot of young players like Sneijder one great creative midfielder, he is class and I'll be very happy if he join Inter

    You are welcome in Inter, Wesley Sneijder
