Defensive Partnership = Lucio e Samuel

what a partnership. i think they have never conceded a goal playing together (albeit its 3 games). I think we should keep scores. 3 games = 3 clean sheets.

why? its factualy incorrect? its not about players in a "player forum?" there are no italians in the thread title? Santon's Godfather, Cannavaro, does not like Lucio?

And we finally have no worries if one of them gets injured, cause Ivan Cordoba is still solid, Burdisso is a joke compared to the Colombian.

Imo we have the best defense in the world along with Chelsea.
Julio Cesar-Maicon-Lucio-Samuel-Chivu, finally a no-injuries and solid Chivu. With the named Cordoba on da bench.

As long as the discussion stays on topic. I have no problem with this thread.

Great partnership we have at the back.

Lucio isnt as smart as Chivu or Samuel but he is a presence that exudes confidence at the back along with physical intimidation.

It's great to have a physical monster like Lucio in the defense, he is good at getting the ball back and marking a special star player. (Like Ibra for example)
But he really needs a smart defender like Samuel or maybe Chivu to clean up for him once in a while. To play Lucio with Materazzi or Burdisso is madness

The thing with Lucio and Samuel is that they are two monsters there. It can be very intimidating for the opposition.

Speaking of Lucio intimidating. Check out Lucio shouting at Pato... they almost call the child protective service

Yeah right. Did you forget that they're team-mates in the Brazil NT?

And your point is? Weren't Rooney and Ronaldo team mates when Ronaldo got Rooney sent off in the Euro. Anyway I can't really see where this thread is going because it's common consensus that our defense is excellent but I do love hearing it again
