Qualification to WC 2006 - South American [ Scores Inside ]

Hi guys, I think we should divide the qualifiers into 2 categories in order for easy references. Let's discuss the European ones in the thread that has already been created the South American qualifiers here. Thanx.

Maaaaaaaaaaaaaan , It was a Bliss to see Il Capitano playing the way he always played last year . I really missed his long storming runs and look at the way he played tonite ..great tackling , great runs , scoring ...

It is now J.Zanetti for the Right back . Nobody will play except for il capitano in this position , no more left back in zanetti .

I hope we play with this formation a couple of matches for consistency to endure .

    Toldo

    Zanetti Cordoba Burdisso/Matrix Favalli/Coco

    VDM Veron Cambiasso/Davids Deki

    Adriano Recoba

I watched the entire game, Cambiasso great performance again.

Zanetti didnt play the best, Arg played with a 3 man defence so he played Right mid. Either way, he was set up beautifuly for his goal and he did well to put it out of the keepers reach.

Carini was left out (of course, as he isnt no.1 for Uraguay anymore) i wanted to see him.

This is really great news for Il Capitano. Hopefully this will improve his performances! And Mancini might have seen it...

You should of seen him celebrate. From when i saw it i remember Cambiasso giving him a hug

Zanetti looks so good in his role for Argentina, we should utilize it. I was very impressed with how he played it,

he got a good pass at the right on the left corner of the box (Brazilian right side), control the ball well, and tricked the goalkeeper... by shooting to the right side of the goalkeeper..

    I will chek it again...

Uruguay vs Bolivia was certianly a good game. Who is the no.20 playing for Uruguay on the left side. Very good winger, but I couldnt see or hear the commentator's voice well. I am sure I saw him before.

Too bad that I missed Argentina’s game against Chile. I was in a sleepy mood and didn’t notice Chile’s opponent when I turned on the television (when the game was just abt to start).

Thankfully, I did get to watch Brazil’s game, only the last 15 minutes though.
The scores of the both the games were: 0 – 0. And I did notice Cordoba hugging Adriano and Ronaldo at the end of the game.

I only watched the first 30 minutes of the 1st half, and cordoba made a good man marking against ronaldo...

was he also assigned to mark adriano ?

Cordoba and Colombia as a team did very good. You could sense that they wanted to win the game much more then the Brazilians and to be honest, they dominated ball possesion at times.

Brazil were without Kaka and Juninho Pernambucano, so perhaps that's the reason why they didn't perform as well as expected. Btw, Adriano had a perfectly valid goal disallowed by the ref and his linesman.

The score should have been 1-1 if it wasn't for some atrocious eye-sight by the ref.
Nulla è impossibile per questa Inter

with adriano current performance, I think Brazil should give #9 to adriano..., but I am actually glad they dont.. since this means adriano can give more to inter..

Isnt that Ricardo Oliveira? I'm not quite sure.
Last season he played for Valencia.
    And now for Real Betis.
Leve Inter, Cercle Brugge, Standard, Palermo
