Since this rumor seems pretty serious I am opening a new thread. If its a loan deal till June I am fine with it, any longer and its a bad deal.

Forza Inter per sempre!!!!
Jose responding after the derby:"We could only have lost by having six people on the park, as even with seven, we would have won. "

he certainly brings something new to our attack but he is way too past his prime to play for inter
since a salary is mentioned this will most likely be a permanent deal
who knows maybe he might win us over, nobody expected anything special from maicon when he came, but then again maicon wasn't a billion years old
Mentioning salary implies possibly nothing. They can arrange it that Bayern pay the rest of his salary or that he gets salary reduction for 6 months time or something like that. Toni doesn't have any leverage in this one as he desperately needs to go to a team where he can play.
Not to keen on him, as he is old and has lost whatever skills he has. Still wont be that bad for 6 months. We can use his height, once we start hoofing the ball up in CL games.
Still his ball control, movement, and finishing all have pretty much gone to crap.
CAMPIONE D' ITALIA 2008-2009.
Maybe I'm completely missing the point but can someone explain to me why we need Toni?
I agree we need a forward and possibly an attacking midfielder as cover to see us till the end of the season but Toni has gone to shit. If he's not good enough for Bayern its hardly a recommendation.
NON MOLLARE MAI!
Questa è una Zona Anti-Gobbizzata!
It's more to do with van Gaal not just wanting/liking him. Toni four years younger would have been perfect for Mourinho. Jose likes big target striker up front.
shahz, Toni is cup-tied, he can't play for us in CL. That's why this transfer would be a bit awkward. We could use him only in Italy. What's the point in that since we can cope in Italy with our current strikers? In CL our problem is not the strikers, that they need rest from the championship so that they are more fresher in CL matches. No, we wouldn't succeed in CL even if Milito and Eto'o are 150% fresh in every CL match. The midfield is the problem and super-fresh strikers don't help in that dilemma.
So far, I'm actually pretty confident our management doesn't fuck up with this one (permanent transfer). I don't know where this comes from since their track record doesn't exactly inspire the confidence too much.
My bad, totally forgot that Toni is cup tied. Well, now he serves absoutely no useful purpose what so ever.
CAMPIONE D' ITALIA 2008-2009.
I only want a half year loan with an option to extend maybe.
Not much upgrade, he would limit the game minutes of Milito. He isn't an Etoo-type. Pandev would have been much better choice.
Any long contract would mean the bigmoney for the agents, managers, corruption etc...
It's exactly the point that Toni is not like our other forwards. I understand the motivation to get him as he's the striker type Mourinho likes, but there must be strict boundaries for the acquisition (6-month loan). Though like I said, he would come only for Serie A, so what is the point really?
Wow... We are getting an Italian player. This is amazing!

Probably not.
From inter.it ,
Massimo Moratti insists there will be no new arrivals at Inter during the January transfer window. "At the moment there are zero possibilities of Pandev or Toni arriving; we are fine as we are and we will continue like this,"

**I move away from the mic to breathe in
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Toni will be perfect for those small Serie A games...we can rest our other strikers, so they are 100% going into a CL match.
Like I said, I know he is prolly 4 years past his prime, but I really can't say I would be pissed to see him in an Inter jersey.
When I didn't expect much form him, he was great and when I expected the world he was shit, so maybe he will surprise us all!
I like him and i liked Batistuta as well...This has Batigol written all over it!!
Ziyad Of Boston
I think you are right.Somehow I read that sentence incorrectly haha.
But it's really interesting to see what happens if Toni arrived. Then Eto'o comes back from Africa on February already. We have Eto'o, Milito, Balotelli, Toni. When is Toni going to play? I think most important think for him is to play with consistence. I don't see how that would happen at Inter.
