Scored over 350 for Panathinaikos in all competitions
A great player that lit Greece up for over a decade. Signed for PAO in 1989, retired at the club in early 2000s. A real gem. Many clubs wanted to sign him, but he loved Athens and PAO too much. His most famous goal is in the Champions League semis in 1996, the winner Vs Ajax in Holland. Too bad we lost at home the next game
If I had to compare him with a player, it would be Eric Cantona, though with greater control of temper
P.S:
The first part of the video is from an interview later in his career, commenting on the critique that he got old. (He retired at the age of 39). Warzycha says that the general comments usually were that when he didn't score 2-3 goals in the first games, he got old, but he would be among the top goalscorers at the end of the season anyway!!
