    Inter - Cagliari (7 Feb 10)

In 3 days we'll take on Cagliari.

They've been a difficult team for us in the past 2 seasons but we're at home, and need to keep up our good form.

They are missing Marchetti and their 2nd choice keeper, so they bought a keeper in the Jan transfer window. He will debut against us. Let's hope it's a forgettable debut for him

maybe muntari instead of motta, but this i think, is the most probable formation if mourinho thinks pandev is good enough in the playmaker position, otherwise i think we will go with the dreaded 4-3-3

Its really good to see Matrix and Santon playing so well..Muntari has been pretty awful, he has a back pain also/ goal.com / so there you go..They dont have their 1st choice keepers also , its a huge advantage to us..

And everybody is looking to see more of McMariga..I believe this weekend it will happen..

I hate the Cagliari games. We always seem to struggle against them

Unless Balotelli apologises to Mourinho for that open display of petulance on Wednesday, (and promise not to do it again), I hope he's sent to the stands. Balotelli must get it that the team comes first and everyone must pull their weight on the pitch. I hope we have enough firepower in our strikers to go all the way to win the Scudetto, Coppa and even the CL (ok, finals will be an achievement) without having to field Balotelli.

Mario will definetly not start in this game, if he will be in the call-ups at all.

    What a brat...

Or lets rather hope that this will be a debut he never forgets - so he can always remember that he started his Serie A career by conceding four goals at Meazza

I don't know about you but this match just screams goals to me. Cagliari's games are always exciting and have plenty of goals. I have no doubt that their attack will give our defenders something to do during the match. Good thing that Cosu is supended. That just means that we have to keep an eye on Lazzari and Biondini in their midfield as Conti will not pose much of a threat offensively, and I know Zanetti, Cambi and Muntari (if he stops losing those critical balls in our half!) are up to the task. I can't see Matri scoring against us, I'm more concerned about that little Jeda, he's short and fast and quite good with the ball... If our defenders manage to keep up with him I'm confident we will win this one.

Muntari can just hit the ball at Cagliari players' balls as he did so well vs Viola.

Gervasoni will be reffing this match. He is the guy who did the Parma match 2 years ago when we won 3-2 with 2 last gasp goals (one was the questionable PK)...

Maybe he is our good luck charm!

It was an away match, because I remember he went off behind the goal and went into the tunnel...I am not positive but I think it was the Atalanta match.

He went off in the 69th minute for Stankovic and I think he exited behind the goal and went straight to the tunnel...

He then started the next match against Livorno in the Coppa Italia. Maybe because this was only a Coppa Italia match and Mou wanted to rest the Milito and Eto'o...

Well if Lucio is banned for this match, then my theory about suspensions will be wrong. The announcer said he was going to be out for this match, but they are clueless most of the time, so I will wait and see the squad list first...

I don't have time to look through it, but I doubt that he went off in the same circumstances as right now.

I am 100% positive that earlier this season, Balotelli went off the field straight into the tunnel without sitting on the bench.

The only thing I am uncertain about is which match it was...

    That could be.

My point is, that the situation you brough up (him being subbed, going straight in the tunnel and then playing the second game) have to be looked more throughly if that has to be an argument in your thesis.

If the conditions were similar, then ok. But I hardly doubt it.

Also I don't know what the situation with the strikers was, but we deffinetly didn't have Pandev then did we?
