Meh. I really don't think Biraghi is significantly better than Dimarco. I don't really see the point of this, other than off-loading the dead weight that is Dalbert.

You guys are underrating Biraghis performance for Viola in the last couple of years. He's been one of their best players.

Biraghi is like Roberto Carlos compared to Dalbert who stumbles from the ball.

If we're looking for an Asamoah backup, Biraghi is a decent option. If we're looking for a starting left wingback, then Biraghi isn't good enough.

How so? Never said he is worlds best LB or something, but he is still improvement over our WBs (including Asa), he is in his best years as a player, and he is home grown. Not retarding expensive either. He is VERY similar to what Alonso did for Viola, probably even better, if he can be what Alonso was under Conte in Chelsea, we have our starting LWB.

I don’t think he’s as strong technically as Alonso nor does he have the height or set piece ability. We’ll see how it goes though, I’ve never been impressed by him in the matches I saw him play for Italy especially.

Technically he is worse, but has better cross. They are basically the same height tho, i'd even say Biraghi is better in the air and is physically stronger.

Link? All I‘ve read so far say Fiorentina are evaluating our offer.
Ajax just thrashed Juve!! Fuck whoever uses the 'experience' excuse for signing bunch of mediocre 30+ year olds who do nothing other than laying in the treatment room and demanding high wages.

He is gonna be our Dambrosio of 4 years ago. He won't be ready psychologically and it's gonna take him 2-3 years until he mentally becomes a big club player for fucking sake why not to play Dimarco?

    Comments from some Viola blog

Since his arrival from Pescara in 2017, Biraghi immediately showed us just how badly Fiorentina was missing a serviceable full-back; we’ve been spoiled by his excellence in getting forward and playing quality crosses into the box, as well as his ability to protect the left flank from the pacy wingers of Serie A. Thus, it should come as no surprise that other clubs are vying for his services.
Biraghi has been one of the only/the most consistent pieces of this project over the past couple of years. I don’t see how it makes sense for us to cash in given our lack of depth in the LB position as far as starters are concerned. Whatever happens, I’m damn proud of Biraghi for honoring the shirt and wish him the best
Amen. He’s consistently been one of the best in his position in Italy, shown all the heart and character you could possibly want both on and off the pitch, kept his name out of the papers, and generally been a model professional.
Selling Biraghi makes no sense even with the offers on the table. He is perfect for Montella whether in a back 4 or as wing back in a 5 man midfield he is custom made for Montella ball.
He is a good attacking player but a lousy defender

Fiorentina is playing Copa vs Monza with Luca Ranieri as LB and Biraghi on the bench. This deal looks done tbh.

Any confirmation if Politano is going in exchange? Seems to be 50/50.
